• Interrupted File Shred

When you're in the middle of shredding a file (I use TuneUp Utilitie's) and cancel, the file disappears. Where does the file go?
Possibly just deleted, either to recycle bin, or the full delete (in which case it could be recovered with an undelete program, such as Recuva)... Assuming I'm right. [editline]08:54PM[/editline] Probably full delete, as the file would be a scrap...
As Mokkan said, I'd imagine the file was deleted, i.e. the application deletes the file, then 'shreds it' by writing random bits over the area of the disk the file used to reside on. So if it's half 'shredded', it's only half the way through the process, but either way, the file's gone.
Oh.
As it was already in the process of being shredded (overwritten) I suppose it would be difficult to get a full working file back, if that was the real question of this thread..
