The Daily Mail. Need I say more?
What, they ran out of stupid things to say about Jeremy Clarkson so now they're attacking little lego characters?
This is life in general:

My Lego characters were Ninja's and if you removed the masks on a few of them blood was visible.
It was badass and I doubt it made me a violent person.
stupid bullshit is more harming to children's development
the face of concern is more of a face of constipation
Kids notice those?
TBH, while I think this article is bull, the quality of Lego has gone completely down the shitter during the last decade.

I remember huge sets of giant cities and castles. Now it's all small movie related stuff or

The faces is what is bad?
Do they not know that I would have full on blood battles with my legos and rip their heads off when they die?

You know I've always imagined Lego figure emotions, regardless of their facial expression.

"could be harming children's development"
Bullshit sensationalism. These are the only things in the article that suggest that statement:
The findings also raise questions about the role of the design of toys and its impact on children, say the researchers.

We cannot help but wonder how the move from only positive faces to an increasing number of negative faces impacts how children play.
That means nothing at all!

You can keep on saying that, and I'll just be sitting here looking at massive improvements such as 1x1 slopes and the balljoint-connection bricks.

That is also my expression whenever I see anything lego made these days.
Honestly, the downward spiral started with the Star Wars License. That killed off what was probably the best line of the lot, that being the long running Space Line, that had been going non-stop since 1978. Along with the old guy at the top kicking off and that American* taking over... it's been quite depressing.
* He's supposed to run the company until the founder's kids come of age. At the current rate, there won't be an inheritance worth manure for them, the way its looking.

Those are the few bright spots in an otherwise overwhelmingly dark time. Seriously, the last time where the majority of sets were any good was probably between 2005-2009.
Lego has always been damaging to children. And adults. Any person not watching where they put their feet, really.
FUCK CALL OF DUTY'S VIOLENCE ON KIDS THIS IS WAY WORSE WE NEED TO ALERT THE GOVERMENT
Shit I wish still collecting and building Lego set wouldn't make me look like a complete knobhead to my peers. I love those Lego castle sets, new and old.

figure on right?
oh god the "anger" face. i had so many of those.
it's not even angry. it's just a regular shogun soldier. dem memories.
Wow parents sure are retarded these days.
Going through a traumatic incident is damaging, being put through too much stress is damaging, playing with angry faced toys ain't gonna do shit.
Why was this even being studied in the first place?

I disagree. The replica Star Wars sets were cool as hell. Too bad they cost a small fortune.

Well, we made it all the way to the 19th century, and there was some serious shit all along the way, but we're still here. I think we can handle a few meanie-faces.
To be fair, the first Lego figure head on the left is Sparks the Engineer from Rock Raiders.
Having your ship get stuck above a planet after crashing through a wormhole, then an asteroid field, THEN having to mine for crystals on said planet while being chased by various monsters wouldn't have me quite so calm.
More like No. 4.
Hell yeah lego are damaging. Besides the feet problem mentioned above have you ever had an angry kid throw them at you? They always seem to land stud-first against your skin. :tinfoil:
the "disdain" head was my favorite forever
"Oh lordy, quick, ban angry Lego faces before they make our children have pre-marital sex!"
