A 26-year-old man has been charged with careless driving following reports he was eating a bowl of breakfast cereal at the wheel in Edinburgh. It follows footage taken by a cyclist using a head camera showing a man eating from a bowl while driving near the Meadows last month.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-edinburgh-east-fife-25087651 That must take some serious skill to balance a bowl and drive!
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "A 26-year-old man has been charged with an alleged driving offence."
He could have avoided this with a Cereal bar.
I know what to reference, but I'm not clever enough to make a joke about it. Also I forgot most of the episode's dialogue.
What a donkey-brained thing to do.

I guess he didn't have enough brans.
Did he crash or something? I'm not getting why he's in trouble... There's no video so I can't tell if he's driving like an ass or not. I'm not one to fret over ratings but I've got a dumb so there must be somthing I'm missing.. Guy eats while driving, someone films him, and he gets charged. I eat while I drive, its not hard. Is the video just not showing up for me?
I know people who drive with their knees while rolling a fag. It takes skill to balance a bowl of milk with some brekkie in it and not look like you just jizzed all over yourself by the time you get to work.
Immediately thought of "The Cereal Defense" from It's Always Sunny.

I've done this too. Just put the cereal in a cup and drink it. I'm an innovator.
He could have avoided this with a Cereal bar.
The face is just beckoning you towards it...
I've been pretty full behind the wheel before. I mean, not completely stuffed or bloated or anything like that, just enough to take the edge off. I don't think cereal is too bad. At least it wasn't like chicken wings or a BLT sandwich. That stuff really fills you up.

Careless driving is what his charge is, like speaking on the phone/texting while driving.
I've done this too. Just put the cereal in a cup and drink it. I'm an innovator.
my dad did this too of course he never rinsed the cup so it would always have cereal chunks in it after going through the dishwasher so
He could have avoided this with a Cereal bar.
Still technically against the law to eat whilst driving.

Maybe it doesn't seem like it, maybe you don't notice it, maybe it isn't as distracting as a phone, but it can still put you at risk. The other day I was walking home from work, I saw a car drive by with the driver eating, and the next car that drove by had a person texting. Seriously that can't lead to anything good
i wonder if he'll become a cereal offender [editline]26th November 2013[/editline] he could have cereously injured someone [editline]26th November 2013[/editline] ok i'm done

Gotta have my pops.

If you're not able to safely multi-task while driving or if you're in a busy section of traffic then don't. Furthermore, I see shitloads of people not using their blinkers or driving with a tail-light out and they're more of a danger than anyone I've ever seen multi-tasking while driving, yet no-one goes around filming/reporting them to the police. Edit I guess my point is I could understand if he was driving like shit and got pulled over and given a ticket for distracted driving, but if I was having a bite while driving perfectly and found out someone was filming me without my permission and also going to turn me into the cops I'd beat the shit out of them.
This isn;t even that bad, i've seen people shaving, doing their make up and even reading while driving.
