Do you need a OS?
No i dont need a OS
Ok, well you have a i5 build and a AMD build to choose from. I would go i5 with your budget though.
Why would you prefeer the i5 instead of the AMD?
Why would you prefeer the i5 instead of the AMD?
It has better performance.

mmmm that ATI 5870 pwns the 5750
[editline]07:20AM[/editline]
Is the 550W PSU enough ?
http://secure.newegg.ca/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=17364047
lack of discounts on newegg at the moment.
New update on list for computer.. dropped it down to $1268.41
went for the ATI 4890 instead of the 5870..
also upgraded power supply from 550w to cosair 750w
also kinda stupid question but does newegg save check outlists?

Also 750watt is overkill 550 watt will be plenty. You basically downgraded performance and upgraded power. Don't do that.
I still dont know cause the 4890 is still a good card.. it will still last for a few years and the upgraded power supply will help out when i wanna upgrade the card then.. this is basically me me starting off my first desktop.. so i dont need a completly out epic computer.. if that was the case id just go for this http://www.hardcorecomputer.com/ProductCategoryDetail_catDesktop_productReactorX.aspx
but according to this Gpu benchmark aswell 4890 is still rated 4th.. http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html

well the 4890 is still better then the 5770..i was on ibuypower.com a few days earlier looking to get a computer off there and i was going to purchase the 5770 with the deal, but with this new list from newegg i think i might stick with this.. Thanks for your help though dude..
P.s I have no fucking idea how to hook this up, so i might be back with more questions ;)
Only 1 more stupid question... is this http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128401 compatible with the 4890?

http://secure.newegg.ca/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=11383471
Got it for you, looks fine to me, but I'd get a second opinion from the others.
ahh thanks man, that is a pain in the ass.. took some screen shots but they were hella small
Will the Mobo be compatible with the 4890 ?
Yea it will. But serious overkill on the PSU for that 4890 or anything really.
The psu is just upgraded for when i do buy the 5870 probably in a few months.. this is just for the time being.. plus i rather not run a 550w psu when min req says 500w.. lil too close for comfort imo.
"ATI Radeon™ HD5850 System Requirements
PCI Express® based PC is required with one X16 lane graphics slot available on the motherboard
• 500 Watt or greater power supply with two 75W 6-pin PCI Express® power connectors recommended (600 Watt and four 6-pin connectors for ATI CrossFireX™ technology in • dual mode)"

Those so said requirements are bullshit. You can run 2 5850s on a 550watt PSU, plus the rest of the system. Ill get some benchmarks.
