What the fuck. Only the Johnny Gat statue is good, I think.
R.I.P Saints Row.
The irony of this is, is that they are literally turning the game into what they turned the saints and the story into. Sell outs.
The real question is does it include a Steam key
The real question is does it include a Steam key
it's steam only.
That's actually some pretty decent cover art.
I'm starting to wonder if the whole dubstep shtick is just a joke
or if they really think the game is "cool" and "hip" with this shit

This will never top the dildo baseball bat they gave to reviewers for 3.
I don't think this will sell very well
at all

are you kidding
idiots are going to eat this up like reeses for breakfast
^guess I'm an idiot then
i'm getting it for the Gat statue. The button and gun are just novelty. I would mind having that button but the gun I could do without.
Nonetheless I think it's cool.

I was a big 2 and 3 fanboy but I know I'm definitely not getting this one
Just because I really like 3 doesn't mean I'm fucking buying it twice

i'd buy this game for a price drop. does that make me an idiot too? because i want to enjoy things?
get off your high horse.
I'm intrigued, I wonder what their 'Dub-gun' sounds like. If anything it's nice to see a collectors edition with some decent loot. Most games these days just give you some digital crap or an art book.
When I buy a 'collectors edition' I want a physical item from the game universe, not more digital content to go with my already digital content.

Nevermind, I found a video. (IMO) That's pretty fucking sick, I'd love to have an actual one of those. So long as the sound quality/speakers in it are decent.

No offense pal, but I think if you want to enjoy things, they already released Saints Row 4, it's called Saints Row 3, it's probably cheaper than 4 by now so grab it while you can :v:

IdolNinja, top modder for the Saints Row series, was invited by Volition to play the entire game.
You realize I’ve already played sr4 for about 25 hours, right?

Some returning (or not) features are more important to people than others. I tried to honestly lay all the facts out in the article so fans can make an informed decision. Personally, I was sad that some of my favorite sr2 features haven’t returned, but I think the new improvements definitely outweigh the missing bits and those bits became less important the more I played. SR4 kind of feels like a celebration of the history of the franchise in many ways. I also think it has a unique voice and stands apart. One thing for certain is that it felt like a huge step in the right direction from the problems of SRTT.
SR2 is still the king in my book and probably always will be though

The issue is that SRTT had all of its best story moments spoiled by the trailers, and they are making a conscious effort not to do that for SR4. I think they are probably going too extreme with the secrecy and need to find a happy middle ground instead of just releasing half-assed gameplay ones that dont' show anything new.
Also, if I hadn't already played it, I would also think the game was complete shit from those trailers; especially that last hail to the chief one.
Yes but at least SR3 actually looked like an improvement on SR2, graphically and gameplay-wise, this just looks like it's set in the exact same place with the exact same engine

It was the same fucking engine and the same place. They just added some more places. HEY PRESTO, THEY DID IT AGAIN. By your logic, SR2 would be shit.

You know. That's what they did with SR2, they used the same engine and same place as SR1.
It costs a TON OF MONEY to make a new engine, that's why you use it more than once, that should be obvious.
They use the same place (although heavily modified) because then they can focus on filling it with content and features that they don't have time to when they have to design a whole city and a whole new engine during the development process.
All of the video content shown of SR4 so far is actually quite far from the finished product, it's not like they've stopped working on the game.

Half-Life 2, Counter Strike: Source, Episode 1, Episode 2, Portal, Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, hell even Portal 2, all look and feel like the same game. Reused brick textures can be found in every single one of those games (exception being Portal 2). The same crate model as well. Hell, in all those games, they use the same green Gordon model as the player start reference.
Bioshock 1 and 2 look the same as well. Bioshock Infinite felt like what Portal 2 was to Half-Life 2.
Fallout 3 and New Vegas
Splinter Cell 1 and 2
Ratchet and Clank games barely changed until they moved to PS3
Jak 2 and 3 didn't have much graphical or gameplay difference
Star Wars: Jedi Outcast and Academy had little changes
Dead Island and Dead Island Riptide are practically the same
Battlefield: Bad Company 1 and 2 - minor graphics differences, gameplay feels similar.
Crysis 2 and 3
Saints Row 1 and 2
Your argument doesn't even apply because this has happened to countless numbers of games that are developed on the same engine with a few years time in between. What is happening to Saints Row is happening to pretty much every single game that produces a sequel within a few years time that is using the same engine for its sequel: small graphical enhancements, major additions to already set in stone gameplay.

All of these varied games on the same engine (whether they be sequels or entirely different games) have completely new content, yet stay true to their predecessors, however SR4 looks EXACTLY the same as SR3.
Also for the argument about the episodes of HL2; they weren't charging people the price of an entirely new game for something that expanded upon the story a bit, and SR4 doesn't even look like it has a "story", just more of a "hurr let's kill people with hurr durr randum guns amirite guise?? xDxD"
You guys aren't buying a game because it looks like the previous one? That is stupid tbh, you guys are judging the graphics instead of the gameplay and storyline. I don't know about you guys, but I am buying SR4.
i, for one, will be buying, playing and ENJOYING myself playing Saints Row the Fourth. thumbps me up if you agree
this just looks like it's set in the exact same place with the exact same engine
SR2 did the same exact thing. Same engine, same basic map, and some new content built onto it
I'm starting to wonder if the whole dubstep shtick is just a joke

It's a Saints Row game, of course they're not serious. It's used for a joke.
At least the move from SR2 to SR3 was obvious, with the new city and graphics
This game is quite literally the same game, same cars, same NPC civies, same weapons (plus a few gimmick shit like dubstep gun)
The best it has to offer is some pretty dull super powers and fighting aliens
They should have left it as DLC because this clearly isn't expanded enough to be its own thing and not SR3.5
SR2 did the same exact thing. Same engine, same basic map, and some new content built onto it
But to me, SR2 didn't feel at all similar to the first game, apart from how the player moves and the controls of the game, but that was about it, but the story had actually had some thought process involved, SR4 is just LOL UR PRESIDENT GO ShoOT THINGS HuRR
unfortunately thats all theyve told us about the story and game so far but id like to wait for the game to be out before i made any judgements

except they didn't radically change the characters, mechanics, and humor.
also they didn't cut out more than half of the customization
