But expect to pay more on Ouya than the stock Android counterpart.
That's stupid, it's the Android version except with a slight change in code to work with the Ouya controller. [editline]5th June 2013[/editline] At least it has a big developer publishing a recentish game for it.
Making one version of the game economically inferior to another version that is otherwise similar in every fashion, is just acting for trouble. I'll bet you all that the android version works perfectly on the Ouya, without any special updates, mods or hacks.

I'm curious, are they the same minds behind the Zeebo?
I feel so bad for anyone who bought an Ouya
Minus controller support
I have several android games on my tablet. Despite the fact that the tablet does not natively support any game pad, most of my games do. Plug in a controller and away you go. I doubt very much that Sonic will be different.
Ouno
Minus controller support
Sonic CD works fine with my dualshock on Android.
Probably not even that, both games already work fine with a bluetooth gamepad (And play beautifully with them too!)
The Ouya gamepad has some stupid proprietary shit, instead of the standard.
Minus controller support
I can play both Sonic 4 Ep.1/2 and Sonic CD with a 360 controller with USB OTG on the Nexus 7. Regardless the Ouya version of Sonic CD is the most expensive version out there, even the console and PC versions are cheaper.
