I was recently planning to buy a pre build PC, this one in fact:

However after thinking everything over, I decided to give building my own PC a try. However I have very little knowledge on what the best parts are and what is compatable.
So I was wondering if anyone could advise me on what to get. The plan is to create a PC that surpasses the pre build for relatively the same price.
I will mainly be using the PC for gaming and video editing.

£527 with shipping, tonnes better than the one you were going to buy.
Also upgrade ready for a second 6850 later on.
All components gotten from scan.co.uk.
Maybe you'd be better off with a TB of hard drive space?
that pc is awesome though
Can't get it in budget unless he wants to spend another £10-15.
Thanks for the help, but you didn't include a CD Drive. Also is everything compatible such as the case being large enough to fit everything in?
Ofcourse
Sorry to bother you again but could you confirm if this is the correct part. Since they are out of stock on Scan.co.uk, I'm buying the montherboard from a different place.

Also the power supply was out of stock and I was unable to find another on a different website for the same kind of price. Would you mind recommending me a different one from scan.co.uk which is in stock.
