British far-right groups are at their weakest for 20 years, according to a report by anti-racism campaigners.
Hope Not Hate says the two main groups - the BNP and EDL - are splintered and directionless amid a loss of leadership.
The results mirror academic analysis which has found the far right split in the UK despite its growth elsewhere.
The report says online far-right activity appears to remain strong - but new groups have failed to translate this into action on British streets.
IMO they've just flocked to the UKIP banner, which I'd even have to admit that they're much more moderate than the BNP and EDL. Of course, this is only bad news for UKIP, who desperately are trying to appeal to the pub-dwelling 40's everyman and can't do that if their supporters are polluted by hardcore racists.
So... good news all round then.
Far right groups tend to not last all that long. They need chaos to thrive most of the time, and without chaos, they crumble apart in a matter of a few years. Sorta like the whole far-right movements in Europe in the late 80's. Had a strong power base for about two years because of the economic crisis going on at the time, and then boom. Right with the collapse of the Soviet Union, it was like over night they all went down the drain.
Some former BNP voters have drifted to UKIP - although Nigel Farage's party has banned former members of extremist organisations from joining it.
Though I'm not sure what's to stop people from just lying about it.
Good, they are both retarded.

Well the BNP member list used to leak on a regular basis so it wouldn't be too hard to check in some cases
splintered and directionless
How can they be directionless if most, if not all, of their policies are founded on going backwards?

To be honest that's your opinion, in many people eyes they are going forward.

Yep, lots of people are wrong though.

Many people need to go to Specsavers then

Maybe a compass too?
My issue is, UKIP is a very short-term, reactionary party who seem like they'd have no clue what to do within 3 years of their election apart from just keep everything exactly the same. Telling other parties to adopt all their policies is basically just telling everyone to be reactionary, which simply doesn't work.
