The two suspects in the Boston bombing that killed three and injured more than 260 were motivated by the U.S. wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, officials told the Washington Post.
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, "the 19-year-old suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings, has told interrogators that the American wars in Iraq and Afghanistan motivated him and his brother to carry out the attack," the Post writes, citing "U.S. officials familiar with the interviews."
The report comes one day after U.S. officials told the Associated Press that it was the religious beliefs of Tsarnaev and his older brother Tamerlan that fueled their alleged plot.
We can bomb the world to pieces but we cant bomb it into peace. All of our wars have just caused more problems over the long run.
Except that they may not have done it.
So if they were motivated to carry out attacks against the United States, why the fuck can't we try them in a military court as enemy combatants?

Let the boxes roll in!

because they are citizens and this is just an (illegal) form of protest

I can't even start explaining how stupid what you just said is.

I've met sign posts smarter than you.

What?
Except that they may not have done it.
Clearly the Reptlians and the Greys in league with the illuminati were behind the bombings.
because they are citizens and this is just an (illegal) form of protest
You're reducing a TERRORIST ATTACK to a protest? Really?

it was the freemasons!!
Except that they may not have done it.
you know, i was thinking "i guess nothing is technically proven yet so i'm just going to take a neutral stance"
then i remembered that the dead older brother attempted to use the same sort of bomb used in the bombings in a firefight with police
my doubts are pretty much gone

Because they're not connected or backed by any terrorist organization.
They're literally just guys who hate the US for wars against their religion.

So if a citizen of a country commits a crime/act in another country, those countries must go to war over it?
let alone that he's american so it's irrelavent
Do you know how fucking stupid this is
the boxes roll in when someone says something magnificently stupid and confusing
which you have done here quite well

I think everyone else here has explained why you were wrong well enough. I'll grant your wish for more boxes.
No they weren't
you heard the man
case closed
even if they were connected to terrorists, why shouldn't they be tried in a court of law? why should they be taken out back and have a bullet put in their head?

Namely that he is a US citizen. Even if he wasn't, there appears to be no links to any international groups.

Actually I take that back. I really do want to tear you a new one.
Shitbird, they were US citizens. They carried out a terrorist attack on US soil, in Boston.
Last I checked, Boston wasn't an internationally-recognized war-zone. And if they were treated as 'enemy combatants', they would have to be treated as prisoners of war - That is to say, allowed to go free in their home country - The USA - when the war was over.

Because they're legal US citizens and not undocumented foreign invaders?
Setting a precedent allowing US citizens to be declared enemy combatants and stripped of their legal rights/citizenship because they committed a crime would be a fucking disaster. We already have enough people in DC trying to take a steaming dump on the constitution while nobody's looking.
