• How good is AMD Phenom II X2 550?

For my computer side business, I've been using X3 720, X4 955, i5, and i7. Economy is going down the drain, so more budget-minded gamers/users/whatever is appearing. So I need to adapt. For lower budget computers, I want to use dual core. And from what I've heard, this AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition Callisto is the shit for budget users. But I need confirmation from the wise facepunch members. How good is this? What can it run? Can it run today's games with high settings? Thanks.
is that the dual core phenom II's or the quad? If quad, they're the i7 competitor, and I've heard they're good, and for budget users. It can run all games (I think?) on high, with the right video card of course

It's still good, pretty sure it can still run most games on high
The 550BE is a beast. It's one of the best overclockers out there (it's no pentium 4, but it's nearly as overclockable as a Q6600), even on stock settings it you can max out nearly any game with it, assuming your GPU is right.
I got one it is great. Even on stock cooler I could get to 3.6~3.7 ghz.
I got one too but I haven't overclocked at all because I'm scared I'll break something :c00l:
