Simple enough, lets hear what video game endings are your absolute favorites! Which endings left you complete satisfied or just blown away?
Spoilers are obviously fine, but try to say what game it is first so you don't spoil anything for everyone
Portal 2 Spoilers (though I imagine everyone here knows the ending)
To me, I'd have to say Portal 2, or at least the single player component. When the game was announced I was skeptical, I wasnt sure a sequel to portal would work, nevermind surpass the first game, but I was proven wrong. I loved it, every second of it, but the ending really won me over. Ive heard complaints about it, how it was very open ended was the most prominent, but I liked that about it to be honest. I liked that it left the rest to your imagination without offering NO closure (Mass Effect 3, we're looking at you).
An amazing ending all around in my eyes. Sending Wheatly to the moon, the cutscene with the turrets opera and the companion cube at the end tumbling from the elevator, and an awesome song, also written by Jonathan Coulton with a brief message of appology by Wheatly lost in space. Perfect.
Every Metal Gear Solid ending.
I too was amazed by the ending of Portal 2. I played the game nonstop from the moment it was unlocked on Steam 'till I beat it and was absolutely amazed. The Moon bit won me over instantly, and being let free was just so satisfying, even though many questions were left unanswered.
Penumbra: Black Plague. It was one of those, "Well shit, this changes everything!" endings. The part where you kill yourself to help yourself only to find out that mankind is one but many was such a braingasm.
Team Fortress 2's ending - Kidding.
Splinter Cell: Conviction. After showing bits of the ending throughout the entire game, and then showing you it's not at all what you thought it was was pretty cool.
metal gear solid 3's ending was pretty boss (lol!!)
mgs4's was too long and drawn out and unnecessary for me to enjoy but 3's story is just so good

MGS2's ending deserves an honorable mention for inspiring literary analyses about what it means.
Kotor 2
Entire game has built up to a final dialogue with Kreia and it's executed so beautifully.
but then the build up to kotor 3 is worth nothing because Bioware retconned everything. Fuck 'em.
Deus ex: Human revolution had great endings. It was hard for me to choose which option I wanted to see first. :v:
Portal 2 and Call of Duty 4
Ocarina of Time's ending...though that could be influenced by it being the first ending I've ever seen.
I found The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker's ending to be the most amazing I'd ever seen. (Potential Spoilers if you've never played it.)
Considering I'd played Ocarina of Time like any other child. The Kingdom of Hyrule had grown on me. And in the ending seeing the whole Kingdom fall prey to the Ocean's depth's with its king had a huge impact on me.
But it was redeemed with how it showed Link and Tetra ready to set forth onto a new adventure.
Bioshock 2 Very Good ending, made me sad
Red Dead Redemption.
