is there a program that will make this happen i have the console connected through S video?
You want your console's output to display on the computer monitor? Make sure your video card supports VIVO.
I have a geforce 7900 gs.
Does it have VIVO?
I tried looking it up but no luck. do you know?
IIRC, it supports it.
Iirc?
Iirc?
If I recall correctly.
how do i start this VIVO?
I just googled an img of your card, and I was only able to find a svideo port, not a vivo port unfortunatly.
I think he hooked it up to S-Video Out.
is is there anyway i can make this happen?
Without a capture card, no.
Take a pic of the ports on the back of your card. Also, what dongles did your card come with?
hmmmmm well i got this build from a friend so i don't have the manuals or the cords and for a picture
Looks like it's just a plain S-Video port, not a VIVO port. I might be wrong, since I'm on a netbook screen. You're probably SOL, however.
What is the cheapest AV to VGA out there?
Does the jack on the back of the card look like this with the same number of pins? And if you don't have a VIVO card, I've seen a 360 to VGA adapter with audio output for $8 or so on Monoprice. Edit for clarification: However, that cable would only let you connect your 360 to something with a video input, such as a monitor or some TVs. To capture video from your 360, you need a capture card, which costs about $50.
You need a CAPTURE CARD, not a conversion cable. Just because the ports fit, it does not mean that you can change the port to be bidirectional [editline]04:24AM[/editline]
Does the jack on the back of the card look like this with the same number of pins? I thought he meant to connect it to his monitor. Clarified my post, however.
That is a no go on the VIVO but it would be nice to have a link to a cheap 360 to VGA adapter.

connect the 360 to the monitor. i just didn't have much money so i though i could run it through the GPU.
Alright, when Monoprice is back up in 20 or so minutes, I can find you that adapter. What country do you live in? If USA, shipping's free.
Usa ftw!
