Lucy Johnson was reported missing on May 14, 1965. She had last been seen by a neighbour in September 1961 in the 10300 block of 145A Street in Surrey, a city of about 500,000 that's part of metro Vancouver. During the initial police investigation, police believed she had met with foul play. Her husband at the time, Marvin Johnson, was considered a suspect. Cpl. Bert Paquet, spokesman for Surrey RCMP, told CBC News that a tip soon came in to police — from another daughter. "We received a phone call from a woman in the Yukon who called and claimed that she had seen the picture of the missing person in the free newspapers, and said the missing person we were looking for was actually her mother," he said. Lucy Johnson, now 77 years old, has been living in Yukon and has another family...
The article mentions where she was and that she was found - but what happened? Did she just run away with another guy or something? She would have been 27 when she left so if she was held captive that's a real long time
Fugue, maybe?
I read the title and thought it said "Survey Women." It reminded me of that midget Census taker who got locked in a closet for a few hours by that mentally retarded kid.

Perhaps this could be some action movie Amnesia stuff.
Fugue, maybe?
just wanted to leave surrey
just wanted to leave surrey
surrey sucks
surrey sucks
A lot of my family lives there, but damn I hate going there.
As someone who lives in Surrey, I can confirm it sucks.
Wait, so there were four years before she was officially declared missing after she was last seen? I can totally understand why that would initially seem fishy.
Lots of women think about doing it, and some of them go the full distance. This is that.
I immediately thought, "how the fuck did a woman from England disappear and wind up in the goddamn Yukon?" Then, upon further investigation, I learned there was a Surrey, British Columbia. Yeah, this article played out waaay differently than I had anticipated.
May be she really wanted a Klondike bar. [SUB][SUB]Im so sorry...[/SUB][/SUB]
