Graf_chokolo, who has contributed countless things to the PS3 scene, had his private home raided by police this morning. They confiscated all of his "accounts" and anything related to PS3 hacking. Some of you may remember that graf_chokolo promised if he was pushed, that he would release all of his PS3 hypervisor knowledge to the world. He kept good on this promise releasing what is being dubbed as the Hypervisor Bible. "The uploaded files contains his database which is a series of tools for the PS3′s Hypervisor and Hypervisor processes. It will help other devs to reverse engineer the hypervisor of PS3 further."

I don’t know how to say this but graf_chokolo, the man who contributed a lot to the scene has recently been caught off by Sony and the Police. They went to his house to grab all his accounts and stuff, yeah could be anything related to his findings on the PS3 security.

Guys, SONY was today at my home with police and got all my stuff and accounts. So be careful from now on.

He keep his promised though by releasing all his knowledge on the HV reversing. The uploaded files contains his database which is a series of tools for the PS3′s Hypervisor and Hypervisor processes. It will help other devs to reverse engineer the hypervisor of PS3 further. You can find the following (Based on the folders in the archive): * Dump LV2 Reversing * HV Dump of 3.15 Reversing * HV Dump of 3.41 Reversing * HV Dump of 3.55 Reversing * Payloads
Source (Unknown Legitimacy): http://psgroove.com/content.php?801-Police-Raid-Graf_Chokolo-s-House-In-Response-Graf-Releases-Hypervisor-Bible&
:munch:
It seems the more sony tries to stop jailbreaking, the worse things actually get.
Oh shit, what do we do now
Wow, he kept his word and released it. Heeeere we go! :munch:
Wow, this is getting even worse. Bet you next thing Sony is gonna execute someone for jailbreaking their PS3.
When will Sony learn you can't stop this.
When will Sony learn you can't stop this.
the scene has gone dead now
the scene has gone dead now
What do you mean by that? As in went into hiding?
Leave it to Germany to crack down on video games.
Mission Failure
What do you mean by that? As in went into hiding?
There haven't been many dramatic updates in a while, and this raid is only bound to slow it down.
the scene has gone dead now
Well just get everyone who has a PS3 to jailbreak it on the same day, there is no possible way they'd crack down on that many people.
Well just get everyone who has a PS3 to jailbreak it on the same day, there is no possible way they'd crack down on that many people.
they won't track down the people, but they will track down those who can create stuff using these 'exploits'.
Yeah, the homebrew scene is really terrible. There hasn't been anything good released since the initial round like the SNES, GBA, and MAME emulators and the FTP server. The only thing that's really been released since then has been backup managers which have been mostly used for piracy. I thought the ps3 homebrew scene had a lot of hope, but it doesn't seem like it, unless people are working on some really great things, but are keeping it quiet.
