One of my biggest fears as a young child was The Aligator Man, I now know is 'Jake the Aligator Man". When I was like four, I lived in Windsor not far from the Detroit river and my Uncle showed me one of those fake newspapers where Sasquatch would merry an alien from the center of the earth. but since i was a dumb little four year old i believed the article he showed me about how an Aligator man lived in the Detroit river and would pretty much just eat your face and that there were multiple deaths already.
He also did a lot of scare tatics like scatching on outside doors and windows at nightr, running in locking the doors saying the aligator man was out there and trying to get in. Freaked me and my sister the fuck out as kids, One time He scared us so bad, I booked it up the stairs at top speeds and my sister went to follow and she was literally petrified. She was stiff as a board. She recovered after a minute or so, but esentaqilly thats when my Uncle stopped trying to scare us with that, for fear of making us catatonic.

The dark
I slept with a nightlight on until I was like 16
Charlie and the fucking Chocolate Factory. Those orange midgets really freaked me out as a kid.
Teletubbies
Clowns
When I was a kid I used to be afraid of The Pit Bottom from Mortal Kombat 1/Trilogy. When I first saw it as a kid it scared the fuck out of me to see all of those bodies at the bottom of The Pit :v:.
Sharp things (Needles)

I was really afraid of facehuggers when I saw one of them head-latching when my brother played Alien game on PSX, I still haven't dealt with this.
I was scared of headcrabs initially too, but you never see them actually sucking your head so it's not that scary.
It wasn't until I played the mothership zeta DLC for Fallout 3 that I got rid of my fear of aliens.
I just played it like "wow these guys are actually garbage what a waste of money"

majora's mask has some legitimately terrifying things
Zombies.
Now I think zombie hunting in specific fortified cities would be fun.
pool drains
darkness was among them but nightmares did their part to solidify that into my adult life
getting abducted by aliens
a few years back I thought that I'd die from obesity, despite the fact that I wasn't even that fat

I went too close to a big one at a hotel pool, and not only did I get stuck to it, but my arm somehow got caught behind me and it became extremely difficult to break free.
the dark. fuck the dark man, even to this day I have to have some form of light. horror movies and games have ruined darkness for me.
beaches and water get me too. i live next to a beach and im still afraid of it because of nearly drowning as a kid, can't even be bothered to learn how to swim because of my fear, which sucks.
also had a huge fear of becoming an adult as a kid, and now that I'm at that stage, most of those fears are a reality and it sucks.

and it is even scarier knowing that there have been actual accidents because of pool drains
almost all of the accidents have been caused by bad management though (mostly from insecurely fastened large grilles or the lack of one), so if there is any hint of the place being not very well managed then gtfo basically
