Obvious first..
I'm new to Ubuntu.
I am running Ubuntu.
I have in fact set the folder to shared.
I can see my computer or "server" on the windows network.
My router is all that ties my network together.
And I have a criminal history...okay that last one was a lie.
But really I'm stuck here I can't figure out how to let the windows network see my shared folder.
please help I want to play my game badly.(Had to rip from my dvd cuz it was skipping and ready to die.)
Thanks in advance!

Since you can see the computer on the network, then the Linux side is working fine. To share a folder on Windows, right click on it and mess around in the sharing tab.
Also, spare the useless bump images - this isn't 4chan.
I know but people don't reply to me I do that but ill try next time and thanks with helping with whats already obviously done/tried.
Maybe they don't reply because you seem like an arrogant prick.
Do you have another Windows machine on the network? Can the shares be seen from there?
Are your drives set to mount in Ubuntu?

Its auto-mounting looks like cuz all the devices I plug in seem to mount.
