I am looking for a new build somewhere in the Above range for gaming. Current specs are not that good so was looking to find something that I could catch up in the gaming world with. I do not need a keyboard, mouse or monitor. Thanks for your help!

i3s on stock heatsink are just fine, mine's never gone past around 54C
i3s on stock heatsink are just fine, mine's never gone past around 54C
I actually can go higher anywhere up to $900 so i mean whatever works. Just been shopping around so shoot some ideas I am all for them.
If you can go $900 then an i5-3570k would be much better. Hyperthreading in the i3 is pretty useless, some games benefit from it but more often than not you'll just run into problems. Fallout 3 won't even run with it enabled.

Im kind of a brainless person when it comes to building but would the above items you recommended be able to play ARMA and such games with a high setting?
Yeah definitely. I have an i3-2120 and a 7770 and I can play at 1440x900 with view distance at like 1400 and almost everything high at around 50 fps in mildly intense parts (~30 people and tanks).

$941 w/ shipping, and you get $30 in rebates [editline]23rd July 2012[/editline] Oh poop I forgot to add a Hyper 212+, add like $30 onto that and you get another $10 rebate
How does a build like this sound: CPU: AMD FX-8150 3.60 GHz Eight-Core AM3+ CPU 8MB L2 Cache & Turbo Core Technology Motherboard: [CrossFireX] ASUS M5A97 AMD 970 Chipset CrossFireX Support DDR3 Socket AM3+ ATX w/ 7.1 Audio, GbLAN, USB3.0, SATA-III, RAID, 2 Gen2 PCIe, 2 PCIe X1, & 2 PCI Memory: 16GB (4GBx4) DDR3/1600MHz Dual Channel Memory (Corsair XMS with Heat Spreader) Power Supply Upgrade: 500 Watts - Corsair CX500 V2 80 Plus Certified Power SupplyCard: AMD Radeon HD 7770 1GB 16X PCIe 3.0 Video Card (Major Brand Powered by AMD) Hard Drive: 2TB (2TBx1) SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 64MB Cache 7200RPM HDD (Single Drive) Power Supply: 500 Watts - Corsair CX500 V2 80 Plus Certified Power Supply For around $850
16gb isn't really needed at all for gaming, and the FX Bulldozer series was absolutely horrid in terms of performance, the i5 doodoos all over the 8150 for lack of a better term. [editline]23rd July 2012[/editline] And a 500w PSU would leave you with no room for SLI/Crossfire in the future, there wouldn't be enough connectors and the power draw would be cutting it close.

The XFX one I posted few posts up
Make it yourself.
+1
Make it yourself.
I am it was 4am when I posted that ignore it. I am looking to go with Holycrapawalrus' build except for the motherboard was gonna stick with the ASRock Z77 Pro3 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard. Plus I was gonna go with the 560 over the 7870. Like I said i'm not very savvy for building them, would doing what I said work?
Yup it would.
Yup it would.
I don't need sound cards or anything too?
I don't need sound cards or anything too?
No, those are optional, the mobo has one. Don't get one untill you need it.
No, those are optional, the mobo has one. Don't get one untill you need it.
Okay cool. So then you would recommend the build? How is the 560 in terms of graphics, could I run today's games at a reasonable setting?
Okay cool. So then you would recommend the build? How is the 560 in terms of graphics, could I run today's games at a reasonable setting?
It's identical to mine except I have a 670, and it's a great build. The 560ti is a great card, and for a good price. It should be able to handle most games on high. What I may suggest is getting a evga card, and signing up for the step up program(http://www.evga.com/support/stepup/), so when the 660ti comes out, you can just pay the difference for the upgrade.

Nonetheless I am up for feedback so which evga card would you recommend for a decent price?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130604 ?
Okay cool, so for $10 more I mind as well go with this. [editline]23rd July 2012[/editline] My last question is what is better, the z77 motherboard or the combo package you posted on another thread?
