Hi guys and girls.
I have a really, really fast metabolism. I always have. This unfortunately means I'm very skinny and so I'm brought here with a serious question. In your eyes, how would I gain weight? Changing my diet in the past hasn't seemed to help at all.
I'm told by some people, muscle mass is everything for people like me, but even then, are there any particular workouts / sessions I can do to help myself?
Looking forward to replies, I hope someone here can help :)
Take in more energy and protein than you use up.
Hmm. I suppose it doesn't help how I'm an avid mountain biker. Anything I eat is either burnt off or just... Metabolism-ed off.
Nerts:
What kind of energy + protein? I eat a lot of meat if that's a decent start.
Let me explain.
This is BASIC.
This doesnt matter about metabolsim at all.
If you EAT MORE CALORIES, THAN YOU BURN OFF. YOU WILL GAIN WEIGHT.
THERE ARE NO ECTO MORPHS, MESOMORPHS, ITS ALL BULLSHIT.
Mountain biking is cardio, and cardio burns a fuckton of calories off.
Limit mountain biking maybe, while lifting, and eat ALOT more.
Constantly be eating. I packed on 6-8 pounds in my first month of getting back into lifting of muscle, just from eating right and working out constantly.
And im skinny as fuck bro.
5'8 130(used to be, now im 141) cum at me
basically
buy whole milk, have 2-3 glasses a day, and eat alot of meat.
anything that has a soul, devour that shit
and seal penis is healthy.
I will *never* cut down my beloved mountain biking!
Though I will try the whole milk idea! Thank you mate!
eat more
Eat 3,000+ a day, if it still doesn't work eat more.
eat more
The scary thing is, I never stop eating!

Don't complain if you don't want to stop mountain biking. If you want to gain a few pounds, do as the man says.

I'd break my own heart if I stopped riding :(
I keep hearing the same problem from my friends.
People don't seem to understand how much they need to eat to gain weight.
If by the end of the meal you don't have the feeling of puking = You are not eating enough.
I live a quite fast life, I work fulltime, attend college and have a lot of hobbies = I eat 4100 calories a day to maintain my weight.
2L of Milk, 700g of lean beef, ~350g dry brown rice, a carton of eggs a shitton of cottage cheese = 1 day
And remember - If you want to gain weight YOU HAVE TO EAT RIGHT EEEEVERRRRYYYY DAY.
live by this rule:
if you ain't munchin' on something at any moment of the day, then you're doing it wrong.

lmao
10$ says you're on a 2000 calorie diet
This is like my 140lb friend who is convinced he needs to do a cycle of steroids because he "eats all day" and "trains hard" and yet still has the body of a little boy.
I have spent entire days with him, he drinks like one or two cans of an energy drink in the morning, MAYBE, MAYBE has a servo pie/sausage roll or something for lunch, then won't eat shit till dinner were he'll eat a massive takeaway burger or a pizza or something. --- This is on a good day
oh bro i need dbol so bad~~~~

McDonalds.
If you have a fast metabolism, where does all the energy go?
Drink much whole milk. Gets those calories in there for sure.

This is nonsensical. I haven't blamed anyone for anything, and you need to get out of this thread before people starting thinking you're an actual cunt.
I am however looking into eating methods, thanks.
Feel free to lock this thread now.
I like it when people are unaware of their own actions.

You're ridiculous, my friend. Every piece of advice given here I have taken into account and have thanked people for.
Mmmrmm full milk. So creamy.
What people don't realize is that weight doesn't build up in a week. If you add calories to what you've used to maintain weight, you WILL gain weight. Gaining 5kg takes a shitton of extra food.

Seith is a well-known frequenter, no one will give a shit if he acts like a cunt.
You, on the other hand, are pretty much a nobody.
Egotistical boon. This is the internet. Everybody is a nobody.

Yes, because on the internet communities and societies don't exist.
derp
I have the same problem. It feels like I'm eating a lot but I guess i'm not since I'm still pretty skinny making it hard to build muscle.
I'm also really skinny so I feel your pain. From what I have read it's all about taking in more protein to build muscle mass. I haven't started serious bodybuilding yet, probably in the next few weeks. That's why I'm reading stuff like this for helpful tips
How to gain weight in one easy step:
Eat more calories than you burn.
