Franken repaid me with petty insults, including drawing devil horns on at least one of the headshots I was autographing for the troops.
But he didn’t stop there.
The tour wrapped and on Christmas Eve we began the 36-hour trip home to L.A. After 2 weeks of grueling travel and performing I was exhausted. When our C-17 cargo plane took off from Afghanistan I immediately fell asleep, even though I was still wearing my flak vest and Kevlar helmet.
It wasn’t until I was back in the US and looking through the CD of photos we were given by the photographer that I saw this one:

That picture seals it. Democrats got to show everyone that they don't just try to hide this stuff like the Republicans have been doing.
EDIT: READ THE FULL ARTICLE
This picture was just the ending of the story - he did worse things like deep throating her against her wishes and abusing her during the trip. This was just the last thing he got to do to her.
Fuck Al Franken. Hope he loses his seat and someone better replaces him.
Give him the boot.
well fuck dude I really like franken. he's not my first choice but I kinda wanted him to run for pres.
Gross. Hope to see another two-faced corporate neoliberal get the boot soon.
His wiki page has him listed as a molester in the first sentence now

How is it that so many scumbags end up getting into positions of power?

Good. He should be known for who he is and what he's done.

Politics has always drawn power hungry people to itself, and power hungry people are generally power hungry in lots of ways, including wanting power over other people sexually.

What a creep. "The groping was clearly intended to be funny!"
Fuck he really seemed like a nice and genuine guy
I don't get it, is sexual harassment a really common thing for guys to do? It seems a lot more common than I initially believed. I've never had any such temptation, it's pretty disgusting to take advantage of someone like that especially in a sexual way.
I find that photo pretty funny.
at the very least hes not actually groping her since she has the vest on but this is still pretty gross

It's still non consensual groping regardless of what one's wearing.

[sp]P.S. I'm gay[/sp]
Seriously all of these accusations get the response of poor memory or "its just a prank bro". Louis CK's case disgusts me the most but at least he owned up to it.
I'm sure my Twitter feed is gonna be filled with very fruitful and nuanced tweets about this...

go actually read the full article; it puts the photo into a better context to evaluate how awful it is.
from the photo it seems the is not even touching her (perspective due to lenses)
so is this just posture play ?
overally feels like clibait bombastic story over nothing
Yes the article has a recollection of what he did before this photo that is worse. He put his tongue down her throat against her wishes.
No matter which side someone is, justice must be served as needed. Can't have outrage at one and not show the same outrage at the other

It most certainly is not. Read the full account of what happened. Honestly it should be in the OP because it's context that shifts the photo from "oh haha what a goof he's making a joke, don't be so sensitive!" to "oh he's straight up unabashedly harrassing this woman."

With how different your state of mind is while in the refractory period compared to minutes before, it's only through the strength of one's values, intelligence, and empathy thats stopping you from humping everything in sight.
I wonder what will happen considering he's genuinely well liked in his state and nationally

I was unaware he was a neoliberal?
seeking out political power i understand, but what compels an abuser like this to also be a competent and likeable representative? some twisted desire to be loved that just happened to work out in his constituents' favor? an inscrutable sense of responsibility?
it's like someone only half-explained to him what makes a decent human being
well fuck dude I really like franken. he's not my first choice but I kinda wanted him to run for pres.
i honestly didn't. i don't know how his policies hold up, but i never liked his comedy. there's nothing worse than an unfunny comedian
edit: i have been informed there is something worse than an unfunny comedian and that's an unfunny comedian who sexually assaults people
I really quite liked Franken, so this feels pretty heartbreaking to read. The only silver lining is that at least Democrats can (hopefully) demonstrate that they're just as critical of sexual predators within their own party as they are of Republican ones.

Protective colouring. If people like you, they'll be less likely to accept it when you're accused of things like this.
