Hey me and a friend want to get into urbexing and i would like to know if there are any good places in Alaska, hopefully around Fairbanks specifically.
I'm stationed in anchorage. In Girdwood there is some mines up on crow creek pass (that 25 mile trail from girdwood to eagle river). I remember passing 1 or two mines, though I'm not sure if that's the most safe place to go. Down by the docks in the city theres a few abandon buildings but nothing that seems special. This probably helps you not, but if you're ever there.

You have got to go check out the abandoned dredge by Chatanika Lodge. Take a right when you come to the Weigh Station (if you go left you will be a the Howling Dog Saloon and Silver Gulch Brewery). Now just follow that road until you see Chatanika Lodge on the right. Park at the Lodge, get out of your vehicle, turn 180 and follow the path on the other side of the road. It's a huge ass dredge and lots of people have tagged it. You can climb all the way up the belt.
