Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi has threatened to attack Europe in revenge for Nato's operations in Libya. Col Gaddafi said Libya would target European "homes, offices, families" unless Nato stopped its campaign. He spoke via an audio message broadcast to tens of thousands of supporters gathered in a central Tripoli square. His message comes after France confirmed it had supplied weapons to anti-government rebels, delivering arms to Berber tribal fighters near Tripoli. In the broadcast, played via loudspeakers to gathered crowds in the capital's Green Square, he called on supporters to "march on the western mountains", the area where the weapons had been delivered. 'Like locusts' Then he warned Europe that Libyans would seek revenge. "These people [the Libyans] are able to one day take this battle [...] to Europe, to target your homes, offices, families, which would become legitimate military targets, like you have targeted our homes," he said. "If we decide to, we are able to move to Europe like locusts, like bees. We advise you to retreat before you are dealt a disaster," he added. His message come just days after the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Col Gaddafi, his son Saif al-Islam and Libyan intelligence chief Abdullah al-Sanoussi for crimes against humanity. International prosecutors allege government troops fired on civilian protesters during anti-Gaddafi street demonstrations earlier this year. Friday's rally was one of the largest in recent times, says the BBC's Rupert Wingfield-Hayes, in Tripoli, and the message was the first time that Col Gaddafi had been heard of in weeks.
Source
Good luck, Gadaffi.
lol
He won't even make it over the mountains. Not ONE of his fingers will touch European soil.
If Gaddafi even tries, there will be serious consequences.
Come at us.
Well, this is going to end well.
He'd be hard-pressed to win a military campaign against ALL of Europe.
Can we please, set him on fire? Not his country or his people or anything. Just him. Soak him with gasoline and set him on fire.
I doubt he has the manpower or the tech. Does he have sufficient tech?
He's threatening all of Europe with this, yet his military can't even stop a simple, poorly trained militia. Especially now that a sizeable chunk of it even joined that militia. Dumbshit is grasping at straws.
I doubt he has the manpower or the tech. Does he have sufficient tech?
Guerrilla warfare.
NATO is only lightly bombing Libya at the moment, just enough to keep Gaddafi in line. If Gaddafi actually does target Europe, NATO will bomb the crap out of Libya.
inb4 :godwin: I gotta feeling Italy is gonna be "target" it ( and i use target very loosely ) since there "at war"
He'd be hard-pressed to win a military campaign against ALL of Europe.
He's not aiming to win; he's aiming to cause as much damage as he can while he can. Sort of a last hurrah measure, like a Japanese Banzai charge. Sounds like he's feeling the pressure.
sounds like he's out of his mind.
Guerrilla warfare.
Guerilla warfare is almost completely impractical for an offensive operation. Unless you mean in the sense of terrorism.
europe is pretty skilled in defense and counterattack from the previous wars- good luck gadaffi, you won't even get across the mediterranean.

It's weird how he went from Che Guevara of the middle-east to america fuckbuddy to public enemy.
Doesn't he say loony things like this about as often as North Korea declares holy war against the US and South Korea i.e. all the time? It's barely even news anymore.
Yeah come at me Gaddyshack.
I'm still not quite sure what the hell he could do. He can't cross the Mediterranean without getting the crap bombed out of him, so...
Depends what they cross in. I doubt that if they go through with it they'll try to make their presence as obvious as possible during the process of the crossing.:v:

Its like a kid threating an adult with a stick with shit on it.
