• Obnoxius beeping and massive lag while gaming

Recently I purchased an ASUS G73JH laptop. Whenever I load up a game and get through the menus and actually start playing, the game chokes up and beeps uncontrollably. It isn't that my computer can't run the games I'm playing, I have an i7 720QM at 1.6GHz, a Mobility Radeon 5870 1Gb, and 8 gigs of ram. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit. I recorded this video with my phone since I couldn't find my camera, and while the quality isn't the best, the problem is clear. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=On4dJKFREQM The game I'm playing is Blockland, and it doesn't have very demanding system requirements, but the same thing happens in other games (GTA IV, and Garrys Mod) I've played. I searched Google and I noticed several people complaining of similar problems, yet the solution to them was that they weren't using a suitable keyboard for gaming, because certain key combinations don't work. I find this highly unlikely since the G73 is a gaming laptop, and I wouldn't imagine that W, A, S and D couldn't be used in a combination. Any help is appreciated since this problem makes any game virtually unplayable. Also, for some reason, when I hold down Left Alt, which is my ventrilo hotkey, the game runs fine. I do not understand the problem here.
Have you checked the Asus website for a BIOS update that might fix this?
I just found a BIOS update on the site, and I'm searching for how to apply it because I've never updated my BIOS before.
-snip, I failed at reading-
BIOS update didn't fix anything.
It's difficult to buy a new keyboard when it's part of the laptop. Also I tried with an external keyboard which worked perfectly on my old computer, and it had the same problem when I used it with my laptop. EDIT: I figured out that a Chinese language pack was getting in the way. I removed it and everything is working perfectly.
