I'm sure a while back a lot of you remember the Nintendo DS exclusive game "Scribblenauts", which looked awesome, but a lot of us couldn't play it due to not actually having a DS to play it on. However, released today was Scribblenauts remix, which brings the DS title to the iPhone, iPod and iPad. (I'm playing it on the iPad, graphically, it looks great.)
If you're not familiar with this game it's a fairly addicting sandbox / puzzle type game, where you type in words to spawn objects to complete puzzles. In a typical example, you'd have a cat stuck up on a tree. A boring person would spawn a fireman and ladder to save the cat, however if you're actually looking to have fun you do something like spawn a flamethrower to burn the tree down. It doesn't end there though, it's not only objects you can spawn, but you can use adjectives to manipulate the spawning of these objects - such as "giant pancake", or "evil pancake", whatever. This game has a huge list of words and as long as you're not trying mature words, you'll likely get what you want.

On top of this, I've noticed it uses the iCloud service, which everyone should be getting today along with iOS5.
I didn't really want to make a full thread about this, but saying any thread solely about app store apps is deader than dead, and this seems great, I'd go ahead.
Heck yes.
It looks childish, but damn I've been looking forward to a good game to hit the App Store for some time. This should fit the bill! I'd much rather pay $5 for this, than $10 for the current special of Duke Nukem Forever - because this has more gameplay and entertainment value.
Don't let the shitty cartoon kids look fool you. This is the only game you can get god to wear shades and a tuxedo armed with a giant shotgun on the back of a trex fighting the kraken.
Picked this up for 15 pounds for my DS when I was on holiday.
15 pounds well fucking spent.
Spawn God, give him a shotgun. Spawn an Alien, give him a Flame Thrower. Spawn a T-Rex.. oshi-
I'll probably get this on my iPhone, I really liked the DS version. I actually found some puzzles challenging which was strange, I thought it was going to be really easy.
Well, I can't buy it from the store, as it says my Ipod is incompatible. Anyone shed any light on the situation?
If you've got an older generation iPod you might not have the computing power to run it.
I just got beaten the shit out of by Obama. Worth it.
Kind of disappointing honestly, there aren't enough levels and half the them could be solved by a toddler.
It's nice that they included the adjectives from Super Scribblenauts. And it looks nice, even on my 3rd gen iPod touch. I'm sure it looks amazing on the retina devices.
Just found this last night, this was my favourite game on the DS. I'm in heaven.

the fun starts at sandbox
I was really considering buying this but the reviews have swayed me, I might wait until more levels are added or the price goes down a bit.
Oh wow, I played the first game so much on my DS, I need this for my iPad. Going to need another iTunes gift card.
I still want a scribblenauts for the PC, so that we can possibly mod stuff in
Some of the levels are hilarious!
Try making a mask (fun)
I still love this game, however I can already see multiple people whining over the fact that their bus shook and now their long hard work of spawning something is gone.
I played this on my iPad, great game though it's missing a couple things, firstly only one playground and the time machine and teleporter don't work, but it is still massively fun to summon a sword with 5 different attributes. Also is it bad that on the school level I kept giving the teacher exploding apples.
I like how God tries to kill Devil.

Is your profile pic the can't touch this dance?
I believe it's the 8bit ninja dance, however it's origins might have included that dance.
