So I just found out I get unlimited upload traffic with my ISP (I checked thoroughly to be sure they was correct).
Now I have a 120KB/s upload speed average, and I would like to help others out by seeding torrents for freeware programs that others may use. (I will obviously limit them to about 50KB/s while I am gaming)
Can people please post any freeware/legal applications that are available as torrents directly from their homepage?
PS: I know this sounds like a post-your, but I think it fits more into the software/hardware section. If moderators/admins feel otherwise, please feel free to move this thread!
If anybody has any personal LEGAL files such as maps which are available via torrents and they wish for me to seed, please post them here as well!
currently seeding files:
Open Office 3.2.0
Ubuntu 10.04 (All x64 + x86 Server/Desktop Compilations)
Overclocked Remixes
Mechwarrior 4
Nine Inch Nails: Ghosts I-IV

EDIT: Oops, I meant to edit my old post.
If ya fancy you could download and seed the MechWarrior 4 release: http://www.mektek.net/mw4free/torrents/files/mechwarrior4mercenaries.all.to.51.03.01.0017.mtx.torrent

OP, you might also want to put links to the torrents (and maybe the site they're on?).
I wish I had awesome upload :frown:
I have upload at a speed of 2.5 Mbps - I don't really use it, it makes my internet slow when I use all the speed..
I wish I had awesome upload :frown:
I upload @ 0.7 - 10.0K (limit on 10K normal, and extended 50K limit when not doing ANYTHING)
That makes for an average of 10K "total", when using the normal limits.
And an average of 20K "total" when using the "extended" limits.
I'm also seeding only until the ratio is 1,00.
I have upload at a speed of 2.5 Mbps - I don't really use it, it makes my internet slow when I use all the speed..
I can upload files at 100KB/s and download files at 400-600KB/s at the same time.
normally my download speed is 1.7MB/s.
Perhaps I should start seeding too at 750-1000KB/s :)
Perhaps I should start seeding too at 750-1000KB/s :)
If you've got the drive space, and bandwith, feel free to help out.

Get a seedbox
A net-top with a USB hdd should do the trick, and have low power useage & cheap

I can keep uploading at 100KBps with barley any effect on gaming/browsing/downloads :smug:
Funny thing is, I started out only paying for 5Mbps Down and .5Mbps Up, but they've been increasing everyone's bandwidth around here Free <3
For the record:

i686 is 32-bit, x86-64 is 64-bit.
I'm seeding FTP and Core ISOs of both architectures.
