In addition to revealing that he pretty much hates all the movies he's worked on that you love, actor Gary Oldman defended Mel Gibson and Alec Baldwin's respective anti-Semetic and homophobic remarks in a new interview with Playboy. After establishing that the "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" star is a curmudgeon of the highest order, Oldman discussed his new movie's apocalyptic themes, before being asked about his own view of the future. “I think we’re up shit creek without a paddle or a compass,” the 56-year-old actor told Playboy, before going on to lament the rise of "helicopter parents," and children that believe that they are the "center of the fucking universe." Oldman went on to say he thinks "political correctness is crap," and launched into a defense of Gibson and Baldwin. "I think it’s like, take a fucking joke. Get over it ... No one can take a joke anymore," he told the magazine, later adding, "I don’t know about Mel. He got drunk and said a few things, but we’ve all said those things. We’re all fucking hypocrites."
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/06/24/gary-oldman-rant-political-correctness_n_5524991.html Read the whole thing
"I don’t know about Mel. He got drunk and said a few things, but we’ve all said those things."
Fun fact: I have never actually claimed that Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world.
this man is right on the money.
the comments are gold
Kids these days. My generation was so much better. p.s. If you can't detect the satire you're denser than lead
Kids these days. My generation was so much better.
It's funny how they say this every generation... And how every new generation talks about the previous one being stingy and uptight. It almost makes you wonder how much things actually change.
It's funny how they say this every generation... And how every new generation talks about the previous one being stingy and uptight. It almost makes you wonder how much things actually change.
They don't.
Kids these days. My generation was so much better.
Would you say that they were born in le wrong generation?
[...]before explaining that Gibson is an "outcast" and a "leper" because Hollywood is a "town that's run by Jews."
how wasted was he when they interviewed him
how wasted was he when they interviewed him
Well he's kind of got a point. Ever since that incident Gibson's been pretty much blacklisted by everyone in Hollywood.
Fun fact: I have never actually claimed that Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world.
You just haven't been drinking the right stuff, namely Drain-O
Well he's kind of got a point. Ever since that incident Gibson's been pretty much blacklisted by everyone in Hollywood.
Because he's fucking nuts.
Because he's fucking nuts.
He had an untreated bipolar disorder.
He had an untreated bipolar disorder.
He should probably get some treatment then [editline]24th June 2014[/editline] Like, a lot of treatment
No one can take a joke anymore
Supertrue.
I thought he was dead
I thought he was dead
Not yet, he's just an oldman.
oh shit
Gary Oldman has spoketh!
He's simply saying what most people think but are just too afraid to express.
The whole rant reminds me of how a classic meltdown on Facepunch sounds like when it starts
Well he's kind of got a point. Ever since that incident Gibson's been pretty much blacklisted by everyone in Hollywood.
I'm going to go out on a limb and assume you haven't heard the clip of mel gibson screaming at his wife that she should ''shut up and suck my dick because I deserve it!", then went on to tell her when she ''gets raped by a pack of niggers'' it'll be her fault because of her ''stupid fucking tits''.
He's simply saying what most people think but are just too afraid to express.
yes i too think hollywood is run by jews but i'm scared of saying that out loud
Fun fact: I have never actually claimed that Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world.
And I've never wished for anyone to be "raped by a pack of n-words" because of the way they look. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/07/01/mel-gibsons-new-racist-ra_n_632602.html
Why use n-word when you could just say nigger?
It's funny how they say this every generation... And how every new generation talks about the previous one being stingy and uptight. It almost makes you wonder how much things actually change.
I actually understand how people can say it over and over again like that. I compare my generation to the generation of today, and all I see is filth. Kids these days are douchebags who apparently copy each other forming this blight of pure shit made of swag and stupid crap nobody should care about. A kid these days gets more attention from his peers for having 200$ Nike sneakers that look like crap and the word OBEY written either on their sweater or cap full of stickers, than for actually having responsibility, a certain degree of intelligence and respect for others. If you don't have any of the first, you're a social outcast, a fucking rebel. And now that I think about it, this sort of happened to me. Difference was, showing the stuff that actually does matter actually worked and changed the views of someone who was actually important to me... But yeah, the generation of today is going down the shitter. And before coming off with "oh your generation was probably shit aswell" and "stop being uptight" and all that crap... The people of my generation actually bonded with each other for actualy good reasons instead of wether you had the most expensive watch or sneakers or if you had the shortest skirt out of all the girls or how much you partied till you went blank...
Yeah, didn't see that one. Why use n-word when you could just say nigger?
bc i hate freedom

People are people, always have been and always will be.
Sorry, but you're wrong. People are people, always have been and always will be.
What I mean is that almost everyone follows that mindset nowadays.
