Donald Trump’s comments about Muslim immigration to the US are “a political mistake too far,” Ukip’s leader has said.
When asked about Mr Trump’s comments Nigel Farage told BBC News that the UK had a “huge problem” but said the Republican presidential nomination contender had “gone too far”.
“I think Mr Trump’s somewhat knee-jerk reaction to this, saying that all Muslims should be banned from coming into America was perhaps for him a political mistake too far,” he told the new channel.
“I think with this comment he’s gone too far, I would expect people to say this look – this is unreasonable, because what you would be doing is punishing a lot of very good people because of the actions of a few.
Tourist information: Farage is one the most prominent anti-immigration voices in the UK, and probably the furthest right of any well-known politician here

Breaking News: Hitler rises from the grave to address Donald Trump "Dude, what the fuck?"
USA is such a weird case. That country is literally being propped up by the actions of a small but smart minority.
Well, in Nigel's defense, you can't compare the UK to the US, even though Farage probably escalates it to a slightly ludicrous level for the UK aswell.
Interestingly enough a majority of Ukip voters agree with Trump on immigration :v:

While I can't say it's surprising to see the UKIP percentage is so high, it's still pretty shameful that the overall one is 25% :(
I'd like to point out though, while European parties are denouncing this that doesn't mean they don't support limiting immigration from certain areas using other metrics

Why would you agree with Trump's politics and still vote Labour? 21% is really high.

People here don't make smart decisions. Yesterday on the radio I listened to a woman who lives on medicaid talk about how she voted for the governor who ran on scaling it back to people in her situation because she considered stopping gay marriage to be more important than providing healthcare to those in need. I won't exactly feel bad for her if she needs medical treatment
Farage isn't anti-immigration...

I know right. That's actually pretty scary.
What's even weirder is that 16% of Liberal Democrats believe it's the right thing to do. What the hell? How can you be a self-described liberal and think that this is a liberal policy?

Because you can poll any question and find a surprisingly sizable number of people agree.

since all of those parties don't support a muslim travel ban, i think a lot of voters are voting for the wrong party.
nationalist insults another nations. other nations nationalist insults nationalist

Even Netty is a little upset.
Farage isn't as extreme as people think he is.
I really disagree with and dislike him, but he's not a Nazi or a fascist and to call him so is counter productive.

This is the root of all our problems actually.
Americans seem more concerned about upholding some social norm at their own practical expense.

I just couldn't believe that she lived in the middle of bumfuck rural Kentucky where most of the people relied on it and she was a nurse before she became unemployed(which lead to her relying on medicaid) but she still thought it was more important to stop gay marriage than to help herself and the people in her town who she most likely tended to before the hospital or clinic she worked at was shut down.
