• Chrome or Firefox?

Mozilla Firefox used to practically dominate in the browser area. Now Google introduced 'Chrome'. We can tell there's going to be beef between the two for years to come. People made lists with reasons why Mozilla is better: 1) Addons 2) Search bar with drop-down list of search engines (quick access to search engines) 3) Has a home button... Ha! Chrome doesn't (or DIDN'T, am I up-to-date?) EDIT The list is now a fail. Google caught up!!! Chrome users aren't far behind. They make their own lists: 1) It's shiny 2) It runs a multitude of image names in your task list to look like it uses less RAM 3) It makes your internet faster (HURRR DURRR) Let's see what FP thinks. P.S. I vote MOZILLA!
Chrome got addons too [editline]10:58PM[/editline] and it does have a home button
Chrome has addons too. You can 2 and 3 with addons.

Also chrome IS faster (because FF is slow as balls) and that's all I need considering it has most useful addons for firefox ported onto it (ABP and pretty sure there's greasmonkey out there)
Firefox.
2) Search bar with drop-down list of search engines (quick access to search engines)
There are no good search engines besides Google. Ask is for eight year old girls who think GUI's with kittens help them search something when they navigate away from the page anyway.
I tryed Chrome Beta 6 months ago or so, and actually it sucked balls. But yesterday my friend told me it was getter really better, and i'm also asking myself if i should change!
Who the fuck still uses home buttons? Are we all stuck in 2003 on Facepunch or what? I must admit I like having multiple search engines, it's nice having youtube in there for example. But I can live without. Chrome is fast, and is the only browser I've tried that flawlessly renders any page, large, quickly and beautifully. I tried Firefox for a while because there was an addon that killed tabs. (Aptly named tab killer) but in the end there were too many annoyances so I thought fuck it I'm going to Chrome. No tab killing, but accurate rendering and more website space. (while retaining functional status bar, while tab killer did enable firefox to pretty much be reduced to one line of text worth of GUI that isn't website, I did sacrifice the status bar for that, no such thing with chrome) In the end I may just end up going home to IE, standards support or not, it's the functional browser made for the web. The real one. With websites. That you use. Real websites. With functionality. (also, jesus how fucking hard is it to store bookmarks in a bloody folder so I can put it in the start menu?!)
Personally, I use Chrome, after using Firefox for a year or so. I'm happy with it, because it's lightweight, has addons, faster, and has an omnibar (the address/search bar combined). But it tends to be down to personal choice.
I seem to switch browsers every 2 months, I think I'm on chrome for mac for good now maybe.
no! opera
Chrome always freezes for me :(
Chrome always
Chrome always freezes for me :(
Your computer is awful, that's all. Also FYI, Chrome is near-impossible to crash. It uses a new multiprocessing system, so even if a tab goes down/crashes, it just restarts that process while the rest remains undisturbed for the most part.
I love how you can put the tabs in different places in Chrome. I have OCD, and I need to have my most important tabs at the front, least at the back. I know you can do the same in Firefox, but it looks so cool in Chrome. Shiny...
Tried Chrome briefly. It was an okay browser, I guess. Gonna go with Firefox on this one.
Firefox forever. I despise the layout of Chrome.
Chrome, there is a home key combination i believe, and if your home is the new tab thing you can just click the add new tab button. Chrome does have addons, right now i have adblock and facepunch emotes addon running right now.
Firefox all the way.
firefox
I love the cuddly icon with Firefox. Though right now I'm looking at a world-bomb icon, as I am using the current Minefield build (Firefox 3.7pre). :clint:
Chrome chrome chrome.
1) Addons 2) Search bar with drop-down list of search engines (quick access to search engines) 3) Has a home button... Ha! Chrome doesn't (or DIDN'T, am I up-to-date?)
As other said, addons and home button are present. As for the search bar - you might notice that Chrome is made by Google, the world's largest search engine. They wouldn't fuck up their users' ability to search. The address-bar doubles as a search-bar, and even predicts what you're about to search for just like Firefox's search-bar. There are multiple search engines- keywords. If I type "Bing facepunch studios" into my address-bar , it will search Bing for "facepunch studios". There are a ton of keywords implemented by default. You can change the keywords too - maybe I'd just want to use the keyword "b" instead of "Bing". That is possible
Options > tick on Show home button on the toolbar.
Chrome, because it has add-ons, a built in search engine, and it is easier on your computer. It lacks a little, but thats like saying cotton candy sucks because it lacks shit sprinkles.
I prerfer cox actually Although Crome is awesome
Chrome crashes a lot less then Fire Fox for me, so I use Chrome obviously.
I love my Chrome.
I use Chrome...since its the only modern browser my 7 year old computer can run.
