Keep it going!
I also made a JTHM mirror I'll put it up later...Kinda busy working on some other work right now.. [editline]09:38PM[/editline] Here's the JTHM Mirror: [img_thumb]http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/7277/027dq.jpg[/img_thumb] Could a mod please rename this thread Bloody Gir Mirror + JTHM Mirror?
:iia:
Going to work on coloring the gir mirror tonight..I'll upload a updated picture later. [editline]06:41PM[/editline] Finished coloring..letting it dry...Then going to clean it off (finger prints got all over the mirror in the process) then going to upload a picture.
Finally got around to coloring it...here ya go! [img_thumb]http://img695.imageshack.us/img695/2573/girmirror.png[/img_thumb]
It just gets better!
Going to work on another mirror later..Currently working on a invader zim book shelf...almost done with it..may post pictures.
The JTHM one doesn't work for me. Could you re-upload by any chance?
[QUOTE=Kagrs;20472085]The JTHM one doesn't work for me. Could you re-upload by any chance?[/QUOTE] try now: [img_thumb]http://img52.imageshack.us/img52/8859/027ap.jpg[/img_thumb]
Where did you learn to make these? They would snatch a pretty penny at swap meets.
Well..I kinda taught myself...I started a mirror with a symbol on it. Then I worked on some plastic and wood stuff (pretty Meh work.) then I worked on the JTHM mirror which is my best accomplishment so far in my opinion. Then I ended that semester and started the advanced class..Wanted my first thing to look good so I made the gir mirror..Just finished this invader Zim shelf.. My instructor for the tech core class doesn't really teach he just says basically go nuts and hands us the tools. [editline]04:34PM[/editline] Sidenote: it takes about 1-3 weeks to complete a mirror. [editline]04:41PM[/editline] I really need to buy a frame for my Gir mirror...
Really nice mate.
[QUOTE=Suttles;20522724]Really nice mate.[/QUOTE] Thanks. People at my high school have actually offered me money for them..I deny them each time..
Yea, you should keep them.
I'd pay damn good money for those.
:O
My friend makes mirrors like these too. We are in the same class..He does different designs and such though..I usually stay around Invader zim and Jthm for my mirrors since they come out the best.
and...that book shelf/paper holder I was talking about...check it out. [img_thumb]http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/2340/dsc00306ts.jpg[/img_thumb]
[IMG]http://filesmelt.com/dl/zim_plotting.jpg[/IMG] Pretty cool camarade
I'm also working on making a ink stamp of this image [img]http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/iamlinda69/J4giv.gif[/img] (just johnny though..none of the background..it is very difficult to do...)
Murdoco, I love you.
Ugh..The stamp of that is coming out much worse then I expected..I have to use a tool I've never used before...looks terrible.
The stamp came out looking like shit. Oh well..Making a candy machine now and then a wind chime thing (class requirements) After these I'll probably make another mirror.
Gonna put anything on the machine or just plain wood(metal?)?
It's made of wood and plastic..I'm going to sand blast a design onto the front and sides if I get the chance...Part of the front chipped off but I fixed it with some wood glue... Don't have any clue yet what I'm going to put on it. [editline]08:36PM[/editline] Also how does a Tf2 Mirror sound for my 4th mirror? I just need a good image for it..Preferably just black and white (no shades of gray. That just makes it hard.)
-Snip, Changed my mind...doing a different style mirror now.- [img_thumb]http://www.toasterwaffles.com/wallpaper/1920x1200/pyro.png[/img_thumb] Gonna do that + the Tf2 logo + the brainslug + "THE PYRO" near the top + MRMRPHM

[QUOTE=Moocow8;21408975]what did u use to sandblast the mirror? ive been using like glass etching stuff on a few things when im bored, but it doesn't turn out as good as this[/QUOTE] We just use a sandblasting machine..I don't know what kind it is or much about it. I'll ask our teacher on Monday when I get back. Edit: It looks kinda like this but bigger: [img]http://img.diytrade.com/cdimg/880199/8284100/0/1237021676/Sandblast_Machine_Sandblaster.jpg[/img]
