Do you use Windows' multiple desktops/task view? If so, what for? Talking about this thing: which opens [t]http://i.imgur.com/1BmCNrp.jpg[/t]
very rarely. alt tab usually suits my purpose better
I recently used it for the first time when I had projects due in two different classes so I just opened up all the resources I needed for each project in their own respective desktops so as not to be all cluttered. Worked as intended I guess
I used to have it all set up nice and comfy on my MMO mouse so I could just instantly swap back and forth but never used it enough It also helps to have duo 2160p monitors

I just use three monitors plus alt+tab when necessary. Much more convenient than the multiple desktops stuff. (Other than the space necessary to accommodate three monitors at least.)
Two monitors and a task bar on the primary get the job done just fine for me.
I have two monitors, and find it very useful for setting up different "workspaces". I might have one "general" desktop, one for whatever programming project I'm working on, and occasionally, a third for homework or whatever. It's become much more useful since whatever update added the "Show this window on all desktops" option, which is really useful in combination with multiple monitors - I can switch between things on my primary monitor, while leaving youtube/spotify/etc playing on my second one. That all being said, it's certainly not critical for me - I can get along just fine without it, but it's a nice feature to have. Also, I don't use that taskbar button - Win + Tab is much more convenient, plus the ctrl + win + left and right arrow to switch between desktops.
I see little reason to use it when I've got multiple monitors tbh.
I see little reason to use it when I've got multiple monitors tbh.
Windows' implementation is only really good when you have a single monitor I run three, taskbars on all of them
I use Fences.
This but my taskbar is on the secondary.
Color me curious, why have the taskbar on the secondary? I game on my primary so I leave it there, such that I wont be distracted by the various popups that happen down there from time to time on chat progs, steam, et al.
taskbar on both with all on it is best tbh especially when you want to move a screen and just use the one
"Show this window on all desktops" option? WHERE?
Right click a window in the task view - there's also "Show windows from this app on all desktops".
I'm a peasant with one monitor so I use alt-tab.
I didn't even know this existed... I'll probably start using it whenever I study, have that seperate without Facepunch/Reddit/Youtube etc. up to distract me.
I just tried it and the animation is laggy on my system so im not going to use it for sure.
