I have it on Xbox, originally subbed for discounts on games, never cancelled and now I've got a backlog of games I never got around to playing, like Mass effect 2 and 3, Need for speed and battlefront. It includes pretty much all the EA sports titles too.

I mean if you don't mind the shit gameplay of the 1st then yeah, play it, I personally hate the gameplay even if the story is the best of the 3.

I'd honestly be inclined to say that apart from another layer of polish and certain character moments, everything goes down the drain with ME2. The story feels utterly pointless and the gameplay and level design is overall that of the worst CoD stages, with you peeking out of cover once every 10 seconds for sometimes up to 15 minutes at a time as a seemingly unlimited amount of enemies keep pouring out of one or two spawns. I actually replayed the second one about a week ago and I can honestly say I haven't been as bored with a game in a while. I mean yeah, the controls might be tighter but I had a lot, and I mean a lot more fun with the first one. At least in that one the biotics feel better and I got the sense I was getting more powerful, which ME2 definitely does not have. Didn't matter if I was level 30 or 1, or if my weapons had been upgraded or not, I still did the same amount of absolutely no damage. The first one's gameplay is bad only in the sense that the controls feel a bit floaty and unresponsive (which ME2 did not fix, I might add) and that the Mako is just trash. Mass Effect 2 has a "better" cover system and the Hammerhead can actually be controlled, but neither really do anything when everything else regarding both elements just suck that much more.

The Mako is a beautiful brick, you just need to learn how to control it.

That said, the Hammerhead's idea of combat was so much worse that it made me loathe all the Hammerhead parts. Let's hope Andromeda has both of these fixed.
Oh I've played ME1, several times, but I don't think the actual gameplay has aged well. Currently in the middle of ME3 after finishing ME2.
