Duterte's often profanity-laden tirades against the United States has become his trademark during his year-old presidency, but he appeared happy to meet Tillerson, who was in Manila to attend a regional security meeting dominated by North Korea's missile tests, and maritime squabbles. "I am happy to see you ... and you have come at a time when the world is not so good, especially in the Korean peninsula, and of course, the ever nagging problem of South China Sea," Duterte told Tillerson at the presidential palace.
Thanks but no thanks, you son of a whore.
convieniant that he's so curtious once the chinese and north koreans are bigger threats to his existence than ever before
The Trump administration legitimately only gets along with burgeoning authoritarian regimes
you have come at a time when the world is not so good
And I wonder what sorts of people are the cause for that. Definitely not ass backwards pieces of trash such as yourself or Trump, no?
The Trump administration legitimately only gets along with burgeoning authoritarian regimes
The Nixon administration did the same thing with a communist one and that got everything cheaper everywhere. Oh and lets look at how the U.S. Dollar is backed up by the worlds largest oil reserves because were dealing with dictatorships that have severe human rights issues. Lets also not forget the Iran-Contra fiasco. The state of humanity in this world is as it is. It is not bad, or evil or even grand, it just is. The worst most ruthless dictatorships are stable, the most educated democracies and republics are stable, and in between is a rocky road paved with revolution (shamelessly ripped quote I know). In the case of the Philippines they have a large strategic value for us to use as leverage over China to keep its navy in line because if you take a look at China's foreign politics it is VERY expansionist even moreso when resources are involved... like the speculated massive oil fields in the "Chinese sea" that's a good 200 miles or so of the coast of the Philippines the toddler Duterte must have forgotten about.
