It's ... for iOS, and it's a social game. Rockman Xover is a game in which players create their own Rockman character, a "production model" robot, and gather "battle memory" to increase its abilities. Despite the RPG elements, screenshots show what looks very much like a traditional side-scrolling Mega Man game. Considering the virtual controls, we don't know how much of a good thing that is.
http://www.joystiq.com/2012/08/16/mega-man-social-game-sees-universes-xover/ nnnnn.... nnNNN... NNNNNNNAAAAAAA
AAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
no NO NO NO!!
NO!!!
"LET'S KILL MEGAMAN WITH SHITTY GAMES AND RUINED PROMISES SO WE CAN MAKE MORE STREET FIGHTER AND CROSSOVER GAMES" Edit: Let's cover how bad this is. It uses the same engine as the terribad visually ugly remake/port of the original Megaman X to iOS. This is Megaman Universe reborn. As made by a retarded child with the MS Paint skills of a limbless monkey. Capcom is so obviously trying to kill the series it's not funny. Making a bad game that will sell badly, and then kill the series off completely with the reason of "Fans aren't interested in Megaman anymore" based on the bad sales and/or reviews. Seriously. Xover? X, Over? X is over? The subliminal messages are terrifying.
Capcom just seems to love adding insult to injury.
First Megaman Legends 3 gets canceled. Then we get MvC's "Megaman". Then we get this.
Megaman has always been like my favourite game franchise. Even enjoyed battle network. Why the hell does this have to happen :(
The only thing I can see here is that they're experimenting with the mobile gaming trend, but... In all the wrong ways... This hurts so much, because if it isn't evident enough, the X/Zero/ZX series are my most favorite out of the franchise, and Megaman is my #1 favorite of all time...
Some franchises just need to die
Some franchises just need to die
There was nothing signifying that it was getting old or worn, and they have a fucking great series that has a ton of loose ends and will be a cliffhanger for all eternity. (Legends, the ending of 2 was a gigantic setup for a sequel but we all know where that went.)
Megaman X iOS port? It can't be that bad- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGG GGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH If you want to spare yourselves most of the pain, skip to 6:18, and let the true suffering begin.
Capcom are sure trying to be scumbags recently. It's not only limited to the Mega man franchise either.
Its funny, it all started with the street fighter with fatty megaman. Then they canceled megaman game an then this. They love destroying there titles an fan bases.
oh boy, make your own megaman self-insert character with every single crossover so you dont even have to be logically consistent. its like that weird guy i went to high school with actually managed to get a job at capcom and someone took his retarded ideas

Whats the point in that!?
This is pretty much what Blizzard is supposed to be doing with Titan.

I'm still waiting on that new Megaman ZX game...
I wouldn't mind seeing a phone version of battle network with servers and shit.
It looks like a fan made flash game.
I get that they have some weird fetish for spiting the Megaman series recently, but they seem to have forgotten that it is, well was, their flagship series haven't they?
