Anyone know of a laptop with:
- 15'' screen
- Full HD or more
- Thin and a great design
- Under 1200 USD (7000 NOK)
Not a must, but:
- Touch
Vaio S15
think macbook but better
It's beautiful O.O
I want to add everything in the config before buying! ..but then it gets to expensive :S
I think this is the best option anyway. Thanks!

It is touch, right?
It's hard to get worse than a macbook
Apparently the S series is not touch screen. How is the other series?
[editline]13th November 2012[/editline]
The S and Z series are the great looking one (laptops). Oh well. I can live without touch

Not really, if you can look past the fact they are apple (I can't), they slot in just below high end Thinkpads and S+Z series Vaios

Unless you specifically need cpu performance (gaming doesn't count), get the i5 option. And get the 1GB GPU option, 2GB makes no difference whatsoever.
And get the lowest hard disk and ram options, then shove in an aftermarket SSD (note Samsung 830 is the only one capable of SATA 6Gb/s due to a bug) + RAM
You can put your own SSD in there?
It's going to be used for writing, internet browsing and photo editing.

Ohh, and that makes it 8000 NOK, not 7000 :/
I'll have to see if I can afford that
[editline]14th November 2012[/editline]
Does it help if 14'' is accepted?
You can put your own SSD in there?
Yes any 9.5mm or 7mm SSD
note Samsung 830 is the only one capable of SATA 6Gb/s due to a bug
what about Samsung 840 Pro?
It's hard to get worse than a macbook
Depends what part of the macbook you're referring to. Some people prefer the design to other laptops, and the OS, but usually other laptops are better for more powerful hardware for a cheaper price
Since I'm so unsure about this, as it's 8000 NOK. I was thinking what else could I buy.
What do you guys think of this?

It's only going to be inside the house anyway, and this thing is still movable.

Acer doesnt have the best track record. Actually its pretty horrible.
Same with HP.
Try, Asus, sony, Lenovo, MSI, Sager.

Also: do you really need a laptop?
All my HP pcs went to hell, but my current Acer laptop is still pretty good. 3 year old, running windows 8.

Don't like the design anymore tough. And it's a little big:
acer aspire 6920

Well. Actually it's not for me. We've tried a tablet (Asus transformer pad infinity tf700 something). I loved it, but it didn't fit for the person it's for. Laptops tends be expensive if you want full-hd. This thing only costs about 5000NOK
I talked to this person, and it was a no no no.
Laptops only.
I don't like Acer. HP is the best. Everyone loves HP.

...
I dont' know what to do. The vaio can't be that bad with HD 4000 graphics?
HP is trash.
The vaio will easily handle HD stuff.
Can I still buy my own ssd to put in the laptop?
HD 4000 has no problem handling 1080p video or doing light/moderate gaming. what matters here is the screen resolution of the laptop aka how many pixels it has to push.
get a mac like a normal person. dont you want to be hip?
get a mac like a normal person. dont you want to be hip?
That's the stupidest reason to get a mac that I have ever heard.

Look at my budget dude
It don't need "gamer specs" It needs to be functional.
but bigger aint better ;)
And you get alot for your money too.
I did actually show it to her, but since u "built it yourself" It was no way, even tough they built it for you <.<
[editline]18th November 2012[/editline]
I think we'll go with the vaio s15 with no extra stuff
