I'm shocked at how quick they're playing again!
Check our their site.
It's not much of a swinger for me over download though 'cause I've already seen 'em.
What? I thought they said that Slipknot won't do anything for about 2 years, because Corey has a Stone Sour album to promote and Joey's doing the Murderdolls and Rob Zombie stuff...
I thought they woulda fallen apart because their bassist died
Or that was the end at least
I just read that as well as playing at Sonisphere, they're planning to record another album sometime soon... They haven't replaced Paul yet (and never really will) but they're going ahead with it anyway. Maybe Chris be the album's bassist?
Sonisphere ain't looking too promising next year..
It is common knowledge that Bloodstock is the best festival in the UK.

Damn Brits (forgot the angry fist shaking emote). All we have in Australia is Soundwave. Which loves to promote metalcore. And usually shitty bands. This year we only had Slayer and a few others which I forgot.

:buddy:
Bloodstock this year has Morbid Angel, Rhapsody of Fire, Triptykon, Immortal and Coroner :frogc00l:
Last year was just amazing though. REALLY wish I could have gone. they got amazing bands for the 10th anniversary. Opeth, Amorphis, cannibal Corpse, Behemoth, Meshuggah, Devin Townsend, Obituary and way more
Best festival lineup I've seen. Wish I could have gone :emo:

Joey said that they're working on a new album, then Corey said they're not and that they MAY do tours, and 2 days later they announce that they'll be headlining Sonisphere.

Only one band has been announced.
I am glad that they didn't quit! I used to listen to them when I was younger, well lets see who's going to play the bass! I mean, they can't just put another dude into the mask or different mask, it would look weird and unfitting!

SLIPKNOT RETURN IN 2011
12/3/10 2 Comments
Slipknot are proud to announce that they will return in 2011 to headline the UK’s Sonisphere Festival. The weekend event at the world famous Knebworth site is set for Friday July 8th- Sunday July 10th.
Expect the band to bring an incendiary show to Sonisphere, as the icons prepare to honour Paul Gray’s memory and musical career with their Knebworth appearance. Slipknot say, “We’re looking forward to spending our summer in Europe. This tour is about us and our fans. It’s about celebrating the life of our brother, Paul and his legacy. The door is neither open nor closed. This tour is about burning down that door. See you this summer.”
The band hope you will come join them in Europe next Summer to celebrate and remember their brother, Paul Gray.
Check back soon for info on tickets and on sale dates.
Slipknot got progressivly shittier from their 1st album, Ever since The Stone sour album Come Whatever May, Corey Taylor has been a shit song writer and singer and in terms of their bassist, a replacement will be in black suit and face standing at the back doing his parts. That fucking makes me rage, it's so disrespecful to Paul imo.
I was hoping to go to Sonisphere, as I can't go to DL this year and I don't like SOAD or Ax7.. But I don't like Slipknot either.. Oh well, hopefully I'll like the rest of the lineup . Good news for Slipknot fans though!

Same dude, I am literally fanatical over meshuggah and I couldn't go cause of a uni resit, if it happens again I'm just dropping out, cannae be fucked with it any way and have other plans, and nothing is stopping me from seeing triptykon.
Neither of my parents wanted to go and since I wasn't 16 at the time I couldn't go on my own :emo: Missed Meshuggah, Opeth, Devin Townsend, Gojira... So many fantastic artists. Really really hate I couldn't go. I don't think I'll see a festival that good in a long, long time.
I love Slipknot... I'm talking about old Slipknot with Mate Feed Kill Repeat...
Europe and Garry Numan at last years sonisphere rocked.
I've bought my ticket for Download already and I'm not getting my cash together for Sonisphere.

:argh:
Biffy. Fucking. Clyro.
this is gonna suck man. I generally hate screamo so I only like some of Slipknot's stuff (don't get all genre elitist on me) and biffy is in no way sonosphere material. At this rate I might be going to download.
slipknot screamo
lol
So it seems whoever runs Biffy Clyro's facebook page is deleting comments saying they shouldn't be at Sonisphere
Meh, they're a good live band, I don't get all the hate.
This refers to both announced headliners
