Hello,
I have a Intel Q8200
4GB 667 Ram
1TB HDD
9600 gt
What Os should i use some people say vista and some xp but wht do you think THIS ISN'T a XP vs Vista i just want help
You can buy Vista so that it comes with a free pre-order of Seven. You should get that. Even though most people prefer XP to Vista, try not to get stuck back there.

i allready own the pc a copy of vista and xp
Use vista, XP will suck for you, because you can't enjoy dx 10 games. And i've heard that DX 10 cards perform slower on XP.
I run 64-bit XP and it's excellent.
Vista 64 Home Premium or Ultimate.

Nah, not true. Performance on XP and Vista varies depending on the application and none of them are really faster than another. Even Windows 7 is sometimes slower than XP and Vista. You need to test.
on xp 64 bit wht is ram limet
Vista, then later free upgrade to 7.
Go to 7 already. I'm using the 64 bit version.

were can get 7
You can't buy it yet. But you can get the RC1. It's on every significant piracy site.

Or he could just get Vista and wait for a proper version to upgrade to.
I just answered his question.

Have a bad reading.

I don't see how suggesting the OP to wait until Windows 7 really comes out instead of waiting for RC1 has anything to do with me not reading his posts. He already has Vista, all he has to do is wait. I'm just suggesting to wait for the full version instead of using software he'll need to reinstall later for no good reason.
In short, you're a retard. :D Have a box.

17179869184 gigabytes of ram.
But I think Windows' limit is 128 gigabytes
Vista Ultimate x64, when Windows 7 comes out, free upgrade, use for a couple of months, get frustrated with shit someone should have fixed over a year ago and switch over to Arch Linux.

He asked me where to get Windows 7, I told him and you replied to me, telling me that he should wait for Windows 7 RTM. But I never suggested to upgrade to RC1.

He can't get the free upgrade, read the thread. He already got his version a few years ago.
People stop disagreeing i just want advise
He asked me where to get Windows 7, I told him and you replied to me, telling me that he should wait for Windows 7 RTM.
No, I said he should wait for the release version. :downs: I've only quoted you because I thought getting the RC1 was a bad idea. I know he's the one who asked, I read replies.
People stop disagreeing i just want advise
You've already had advice. Install Vista and possibly upgrade to Windows 7 when it comes out if you decide to buy it.
Read my reply? I never said it would be free. :downs:
You didn't, but KrAzY_nikomo did. That's why I quoted him. :v:

Aha wow, my bad. :P I'll edit that out.

...What?
DX10 runs 50% fucking slower than DX9
All DX10 allows is water streaming over textures and a few lighting improvments.
DX10 doesn't run slower if it's done properly. In Far Cry 2 you get a significant performance increase on DX10.

Bullshit. When I play a game with dx 10 turned on, I get better FPS than 9.

Ily
32 bit can handle around 2^32 bytes, which is 4 gigabytes.
64 bit has 2^64, which is 17,179,869,184 gigabytes.
Both of these values are a little less, as some of the memory address space is reserved for some fancy term I can't recall at the moment (DMA|Direct Memory Access, perhapse?), but basically is the graphics card onboard memory and similar things that the os wants quick and direct access to.
The OS reserves every byte memory that can be accessed. Sound card memory, graphic card, chipset, hard drive cache, etc.
Also 32-bit isn't limited to 2^32 bytes with PAE.
