I get the feeling this will have the opposite effect of what they want.
Fuck off, PETA.
they want the blood
I'm going to see the silver lining in this: this means PETA understands that seeing violence in games doesn't equate to condoning violence in real life.
Neat, more actual farming parts to a farming simulator.
I honestly don't see anything wrong with this other than Peta being stupid, they already slaughter enough animals themselves, why are they demanding for it to be included in a game is beyond me. :v:
I wouldn't mind accurately depicted pig slaughtering if that's so damn important but I think it probably wouldn't resonate well with players. Not necessarily because it would be disillusioning, but rather because Farming Simulator is primarily about operating farming machinery. Animals have always been a pretty vestigial aspect of the game series as far as I know.
I'm pretty sure that most farmers aren't butchers.
I was on a pig farm once myself and they said that if they slaughtered the animals on site they would get shut down tomorrow no ifs, no buts. They outsourced the job to someone offsite.
PETA kills more animals than any other shelter

Me too. The only thing remotely gory in the farm I worked at was when we had to kill the sick pigs to prevent diseases from spreading and then dragging the corpse to the special fridge where we'd stack them up for the "garbage truck" to pick them up and dispose of them in a facility.
Wait, they didn't show the butchering previously?
But that's like, the best part of the year.
