• PC gets hot, cause of problems in BF4?

It's low 40c when idle but gets up to 83-85c when playing BF4 and other games. It starts off smooth then the stutter starts, so figured it could be from the high temperature? Arkham City runs fine maxed out though.. I have an i5-2500 cpu with the stock cooler. Could getting a new cooler help?
Check for dust and shit. Make sure you're checking other temps as well. Clean all dust. If it doesn't solve anything then could be your fan configuration and you may have to adjust it. If at all fails a new cooler like the 212 from CM(I think I remember + or Evo being the best) would serve you lovely.
Could do with a dust, but doesn't look that expensive anyway. Do you think this could be the cause of problems in BF4 though? Other people with similar set ups don't seem to be having problems currently.
85c isn't really that hot but it might cause the processor to reduce the clock speed giving worse performance, give it a good clean, in particular unscrew the fan from the heatsink and give it a brush, if you've had the computer for a while the thermal paste can become less effective so it may be a good idea to apply some new stuff. You could also get a new heatsink but I think doing the above will solve your problem.

I gave the PC a dust and got 10c cooler, still does the same. Wondering what could have caused the problem since..
