Ugh. I really am not looking forward to this game.
Yes! I really am so looking forward to this game.
All Battlefield 4 makes me feel is how let down I feel about buying Battlefield 3.
I wouldn't be surprised if Battlefield 3 was just a stepping stone for funding and technology while they were working towards this game the whole time.
I'm just annoyed how they said they were already thinking about things they could do in BF5 a few months ago.
I'm far more optimistic for Battlefield 4 after BF3 than I was for BF3 after Bad Company 2.
If only they didn't make the game look so goddamn colorless.

But yeah, they had to pick their battles. Now that the BF3 tech provides a good base, they can expand the game. In two years we'll see what they can do with Battlefield when they're no longer tied down by the old console generation.
Yeah, colorless. Unless by colorless you are meaning something else.
There's something wrong with that picture. Judging by the sky, it's supposed to be warm and bright, yet it's really dark. Weird HDR? No idea how it's called but it plagued BF3 to no end.

If you're playing a game where two superpowers are sending their soldiers into a fight to the death, I don't think having bright and beautiful looking lighting would complement that well.
Yeah, colorless. Unless by colorless you are meaning something else.
Just because they put a parrot in a otherwise boring environment doesn't fix the fact that is a boring environment
Yeah, colorless. They have gone back to a more original sounding BF theme. Just that 1 thing makes me want to buy the game, it reminds me of what BF really is.
I wonder why they don't increase the player count? Some servers could take it, and I think it would be better with more.
Yeah, colorless. Unless by colorless you are meaning something else.
oh man this so reminds me of Zatar Wetlands
It looks promising, i hope it will actually feel like a battlefield game.
Yeah, colorless. Unless by colorless you are meaning something else.
the only thing with color in that shot is the parrot everything else is visibly layered with a thick filter of brown coupled with a dash of desaturation
I wouldn't be surprised if Battlefield 3 was just a stepping stone for funding and technology while they were working towards this game the whole time.
that's how dice always develops bc1 and 1943 were just a stepping stone into bc2. 1942 was a stepping stone into bf2 and its expansions.

I think they should make Paracel Storm really bright and colourful so that the mood swing between normal and stormy weather is much more significant, maybe make the player opt for a camo change halfway through the map.

Lots of one way movement would be pretty interesting.
It looks like the same game I've been playing since 2007
what a letdown, it appears to be pretty much the same as BF3 was: cut content as day-one DLC and the return of premium as a tool to fragment the playerbase. therefore obligating you to spend $60 on top of your original $60 purchase, remember when you'd get a full game for $50 at release?
It looks like the same game I've been playing since 2007
haha lol get it because modern shooters look the same??? brown and bloom!!!

[editline]25th August 2013[/editline] And how the hell content-cut.
But Bad Company 2 was awesome though...
Don't get me wrong, I liked the game, but it had several frustrating elements that DICE seemingly didn't care to fix. I found BF3 to be much more enjoyable overall.
