Shelby police’s lone conversation with the mass-murder suspect was about food. Earlier in the day, Roof had bought water and chips at a south Charlotte gas station. Now he was hungry. Police bought him food from a nearby Burger King, Ledford said. “He was very quiet, very calm. He didn’t talk,” Ledford said. “He sat down here very quietly. He was not problematic.” Read more here: http://www.charlotteobserver.com/news/local/article24952345.html#storylink=cpy
I have a friend who was bought Maccas after his arrest (I won't say the charge, but it was not a minor offense - he got years for it), I was pretty surprised at the time (they bought everyone in the lockups some). Mustn't be as uncommon as I thought.

I mean, where else would they get food from?
I hear stories of cops bullying and verbally harassing people regarding their crimes as they take into custody. I am surprised this mass-shooter was treated well.
I am surprised this mass-shooter was treated well.
He probably cooperated with the investigation, hence he was rewarded. Or he told em, get me burger king and I'll tell you everything. Its not uncommon for the "you scratch my back Ill scratch yours" when dealing with police.
Cue the shitstorm from people who think racist terrorists shouldn't still be treated like human beings.
State sponsored terrorist confirmed.
Cue the shitstorm from people who think racist terrorists shouldn't still be treated like human beings.
Well, they shouldn't. Hence why he got BK.
Reminds me of a lad who went on Hunger strike over "Political Policing" he was left a Indian Takeaway leaflet in his cell and after about 3 hours ordered an Indian Takeaway, cops delivered it and all.

They don't want to give his lawyer any ammo to ask for retrial or anything like that. They want to make sure everything goes by the book so they can throw the book at him
I hear stories of cops bullying and verbally harassing people regarding their crimes as they take into custody. I was left alone in the "drunk tank" and I asked a couple of times if anyone had the time, because it felt like I was in there for hours and I could see officers walking back and forth behind the crack of the sliding door. When I finally got a response, it was a cop telling me to shut the fuck up and he handcuffed me to the bench, telling me to shut up for the next 30 minutes or "there will be problems". This cunt shoots 9 people and gets the officers to go on a food run for him. What the flying fuck.
There are already people saying it was all just a conspiracy to take peoples' guns away and that the people who were shot never existed in the first place. This news will only spur those idiots on.
There are already people saying it was all just a conspiracy to take peoples' guns away and that the people who were shot never existed in the first place.
Just like all the other crisis actor shootings that took our guns away? At this point we should be at negative guns.
Just like all the other crisis actor shootings that took our guns away? At this point we should be at negative guns.
Oh, don't get me wrong. If the context wasn't clear pre-edit, those people are fucking retarded or are outright monsters. And you're exactly right. They do this every time. "The South Carolina shooting was just a ploy with hired actors to take our guns away." "Sandy Hook never happened, the parents of the "kids" were all hired actors, and it was all done to warrant increased surveillance and to take our guns away." There's a special level of Hell for the people who try to perpetuate that shit.

fucking abusive police this is some human rights breaching bullshit right there
Only a madman would eat Burger King. He's going for the insanity plea, smart.
The press is trying really hard to drag this incident out. I think most people at this point have moved on.
This is standard practice depending on the police department. I worked on a case as an intern and found out a woman who cut the man she murdered into pieces and kept some of the meat for later requested some hot tamales (the candy) when she was arrested. They stopped at a 7/11 and got some for her on her way to county jail. She was white. Food is usually given in exchange for cooperation with the police.
The press is trying really hard to drag this incident out. I think most people at this point have moved on.
They have... The families of the victims in the shooting have even forgiven Dylan and 'pray for his salvation'. Media just wants to get their ratings cause Dylan Roof is the most searched thing right now.

It's something which is just going to happen at least once in the society we have at the moment. How can they say every single one wasn't real.

So they're torturing him? This is totally violating the 8th amendment.
I think I would have gone with the waterboarding option instead.
Burger King is not even that bad
Well, they shouldn't. Hence why he got BK.
Hey, they could've gotten him Arby's instead.

I dunno about the US but here in Sweden, Burger King is god tier compared to all the others (that aren't local non-chain hamburger joints of course)
