• Trouble connecting Nvidia 9400gt to T.V

Well I've recently needed to connect my computer to my television instead of my monitor. I have the cable needed, I plug it into the computer and the tele. Put it on the right channel and viola, it works. I get the loading motherboard text and the loading bar and then nothing, the screen goes blue just before the windows sign. I have tried running it in safe mode and it works fine. So im guessing its something to do with the drivers ? I'm not sure, if that is the case could someone please describe how to delete and uninstall them. I have looked on google for ages for a answer to this problem but there is nothing. Thanks.
CRT or LCD?
Lcd
I would say that the resolution is set too high. Is the TV HD Ready?
yes it is, and the res was at 800x600 working fine and the minute i reset the computer it went blue. I had this working before on this res so it shouldnt be a problem.
Boot into safe mode, set the resolution down to 640x480 and the lowest refresh rate. Then see if you can boot into Windows normally, if so, then increase the resolution one setting at a time until the TV stops displaying the picture.
1. Connect the computer to a monitor and your TV 2. Set it up for dual monitor display with out put to VGA or Svideo or what ever your TV uses. 3. Get the highest resolution you can for your TV (common ones are 1366x768 and 1920x1080) 4. Post any problems you run into so we can further assist you ;) The initial dual monitor setup is the key though as you can see wtf you are doing while you're doing it xD
Thanks for the help guys :) i really appreciate it. I know it sounds stupid but how would i set it up yo dual screen mode ? I'm kinda new to all this monitor stuff hehe. Thanks again. :)
Right click, properties, Display settings, hit idenify, then set the res for the appropiate monitor. You can also set this in the nVidia tools if i am correct.
Hey thanks for the help, i have hit another problem though :( i have plugged both my moniter and s-video in and here is what i get. This is strange because my T.V is 32" :S and when i change the res and click apply it just goes back to the original settings, also the T.V is just blank :/ any ideas ?
Does your TV have a VGA input, because that would make this easier. Otherwise I would look in your nVidia control panel for some TV ouput options. If you are going to use this TV to game over S-Video, the lower resolution will allow you to play more intense games at lower res without losing much quality. It would be hi-def, but the TV itself will usually make jaggies invisible. I like to play my emulators on TVs because I can run them full speed and it just looks like the normal game. Find the model of your television and google its "native resolution" that is what you want to set it at, or in the control panel you can FORCE it (which is good if you know the rez)
