Well, seeing as no one opted to continue the old civ thread, i thought id do it
Hello, and welcome, to Civilization!
Credits to everyone who has participated in the up keeping of this game mode, and to all who have contributed.
Feel free to private message me should you have any queries about the game.
Rules:
1. Don't expect everyone, or anyone, to be kind, you may be attacked randomly at any time as long as the attacker has acted correctly.
2. Don't moan when attacked, it's part of the game.
3. Speed building is an option - but only if you have joined late, or haven't declared on your base over a long period of time. However, when not speed building, be clear to show your units/or equivalent building/working on things, instead of just making them appear.
4. Do not flame each other in this thread, go somewhere else (off-topic thread).
5. It is a recommendation that you start with around one to ten men if you're starting from scratch.
6. We can, and will, skip you, or remove you, if you are to "play God" or have some unbeatable army.
7. We use the standard declare system, used throughout PW, but with some minor changes. You do not have to declare on your territory if nobody else is there, but if you don't notify anyone someone could declare on your territory while you're editing. To move into another territory you must declare on said territory, usually by the name of the person who owns the territory, such as "Declare on ABC's".
8. Don't save images as anything but .PNG, and do not use Internet Explorer. We will ignore you and remove you from the world map.
9. No meta-gaming (knowing something about someone when your forces couldn't possibly know. EX: Guy 1 talks to Guy 2 about making an alliance on the other side of the map. You dont have any forces on his territory. You would be completely unaware of this, really, and thus should not ally until troops actually arrive at his territory).
10. In conjunction with the above point, do not send armies at someone's base just because you've talked and decided to ally. Let fate guide you.
11. No nuclear weapons, game enders, or other such units may be made. Super-heavy/elite units however maybe made, but they must be researched/take a long time to build, otherwise we'll just ignore you.
12. Alliances may be made, though massive ones are generally looked down upon. If an alliance is made, do not pretend to know about it unless the alliance has contacted you.
13. Try not to clog the thread with stupid posts or 3-word answers. It takes up space. There is a random chat thread for that.
14. You must declare on the World Map to claim a tile to start in.
15. Alliances/Players must place a insignia/notification on the world map when they conquer a territory, this will help to prevent confusion.
16. Do not excessively powergame in your actions. You are not a godlike-headshotting-bullet dodging-super powered person.
17. When moving across territories, take a realistic amount of time to do so. It's unfair to move halfway across the grid in 2 hours.
18. Try to use role-play when making actions, the more depth you give to something, the better people will view you.
19. It is requested that you are on this list: http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=912460 before you join this thread.
20. No expanding the world map. Players may be booted on a 'game masters' jurisdiction only - and as such only 'game masters' have the power to remove users.
21. 'Game masters' will be allowed to play in the thread; however, if they do something wrong it is up to another 'game master' to fix their error.
22. You must always obey your 'game masters' and they shall always have the final say.
23. NEW FEATURES (as of 27/05/10 17:10):
24. As an example of moving units to other territories based on the world map: if I was moving to someone next to me, diagonally, horizontally, vertically, etc, by one space I could go straight there, if I was moving to someone two spaces away I would do a declare (or text) and on that turn add Moving to PLAYER_NAME 1/2; followed by my next turn (must be after someone else has been) 2/2 in which I would declare on Joosts base, for example. To stop the imbalance of being on the side, I also added the rule where you can move to the other side. Someone in the top left, for example, can move to any space next to them, the bottom left tile and whoever owns the top right tile. This means that everyone is next to the same amount of tiles. BASICALLY: you can move to anyone in 1 space of you, which should be 8 people.
25. NEW SYSTEM: I will list all the players in the game with a number after your name. Every time I update the list I will add to your number if you haven't declared on your territory. By the time I get to (whatever number I decide, probably 5 or 10, depending on how fast we get to them in this trial run) I will kick people to stop inactivity.
Map:
Remember you must declare on the world map before adding your tile. Your tile may be removed at any time which is seen necessary by the 'game masters'.

Too late Bro
Yeah Yusk has had dibs on the second for a while.
This is continuing from our old thread, the new one is sort of a revamped redone version since we are all starting from scratch in it :v:
But I don't know how many people will continue from the old thread.
If your talking about colonization, thats not this

The Bloatwasps and the wasps follow the Armored Slug, which walks towards Legental's map.

The Engineers continue work on the base.
The Warriors stand guard.
Extra processing power is diverted to the task of reconnecting to the Collective. [1/5]
One of the Warriors begins to wonder if emotion is such a bad thing.
Don't continue this, it'll die anyway - you're just wasting your time. Join colonization, it's basically the same.
