I've been trying to get my realtek wireless card built in my laptop to work with god damn ubuntu the past few days and at last i found a solution here in this link http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1267961&page=2 but I have a couple problems.. After I install it when I shut the computer off and start it up again, the wireless no longer works so right now everytime I want to use wireless I have to follow the same steps and reboot AND also requires a ethernet cable connected to my laptop to work. EDIT:after second re-install the wireless now works but is very unstable..sometimes it would connect sometimes it doesnt AND it's slow as fuck . does anyone know any solution to this?
Have you tried upgrading to the latest version of Linux?
The Bitch in me says: Use Ethernet cable, or find another distro. But the Angel in me says: You could always install the Windows Wireless Driver with NDISwrapper. Results may vary. Also, try MadWIFI, I hear good things. ^_^
