In an interview with CNN's Brianna Keilar, Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson said Donald Trump is a racist and his comments on Muslim TSA workers should disqualify him
He's not a racist he's a very naughty boy
I think trump has had bigger gaffes than a few racist comments.
But it shouldn't disqualify him from running, it is the peoples choice.
But he's not really a racist. Point out to me even one time he was racist! He doesn't hate anyone of a different race, he hates different ethnicities and religions, so it's okay! Doesn't matter that the vast majority of white supremacists support him wholeheartedly, that doesn't say anything about him, he isn't a racist, he just hates those economic migrants and liberals. You can't call him a racist, but you can call him a pro-political-censorship anti-political-and-religious-freedoms human-rights-defying bigot! But he isn't a racist!
/s
Watch this, like every other statement made against Trump, roll off him and his supporters like water from a duck's back or be reused as somehow being some kind of attack against him and his supporters, thus drumming up even more support for him thanks to confirmation bias.
Kind of funny for a libertarian to call for banning someone based on their presumed opinion.
tbh there've probably been candidates more racist than trump in the last 20 years

no he doesn't
illegal immigrant and muslim are not races, nor ethnic groups. try harder

vast majority of third-wave tumblr feminists support bernie, ergo bernie wants to kill all white men

he has not said he hates either of these

laws against libel do not equal political censorship

he is not opposed to either of these things

this is meaningless due to its subjectivity. it depends on how liberal your definition of "human rights" is.
if you go full UN and consider internet access a human right, every nation in the world is defying human rights right now.
you can't actually come up with an argument as to why trump is an evil racist, so you make a salty, sarcastic shitpost instead with no actual content. good work. #ImWithHer

You're literally just proving his point for him.

He's called for the expansion of libel laws so he can sue newspapers he dislikes. He's banned liberal news organizations from his rallies - something no candidate has done before. He's openly called to ignore the Geneva convention. He's openly called to kill innocents in wartime - a human rights violation and war crime by literally any metric. Discrimination based on religion is a violation of civil rights in exactly the same way that discrimination based on ethnicity and race are - more so, actually, because religious groups have been protected peoples since the first amendment and race took us much longer to protect.
I'm not debating his bigotry with someone who's clearly an alt of a banned user made within the last 140 hours.
Kind of funny for a libertarian to call for banning someone based on their presumed opinion.
Did you watch the interview? He didn't call for anyone to be banned.
Kind of funny for a libertarian to call for banning someone based on their presumed opinion.
For one, he didn't say to ban him, only that it should disqualify him. As in, he's not qualified for the job.
Also, I find it hard to believe it's a "presumed" opinion of Trump's.
Kind of funny for a libertarian to call for banning someone based on their presumed opinion.
Gary Johnson is barely a libertarian. There are GOP politicians that have more libertarian policies than Johnson.
Trump gets disqualified for being racist, Hillary stays for "accidentally" leaving important government emails on an insecure network. Sounds fair.
I don't care for either Trump or Hillary, but you need to try harder than that to disqualify someone from the race.

It's important to note that Ted Cruz was calling for the carpet bombing of Syria, which is a far worse policy by any reasonable metric.
Clinton would also likely continue the drone warfare programs in the middle east, which routinely kills civilians without so much as a pretense of due process. Depending on exactly what Trump means when he says "kill terrorists and their families," he may be suggesting a better foreign policy than what we currently have or what his GOP opponents proposed.
He's not a racist. He will unite the American people unlike Obama who has been a divider.

Trump is probably the least racist person running for president. However:

"I'm going to kill slightly less innocents than my opponents" isn't really something I'm looking forward to in a presidential campaign.

Showing Clinton's possible racist remarks doesn't absolve anything Trump has said.
Do you understand the concept of a strawman argument..?

It's not what I'm looking forward to either, and I'm not suggesting that people should vote for Trump and accept his destructive policies at home in exchange for just a small chance of saving a few lives abroad.
It's important to note that Ted Cruz was calling for the carpet bombing of Syria, which is a far worse policy by any reasonable metric.
If you actually look at what he said, he meant that he wanted to increase targeted strikes by a lot, not that we should literally carpet bomb them. He clarified it multiple times.

Honestly, if Trump became president most of his insane ramblings would never make it into law thanks to congress. On the other hand, Hillary has a much greater political influence than her opponent and has a greater chance of getting her bills passed.
Disqualify him under what rules? Or does he mean to say people shouldn't vote for him because he's a racist? I favor letting voters decide who they want to vote for, racist or not. That's kind of the point of having people vote in the first place. If someone sees himself as sitting in judgment of who is qualified then why doesn't he decide for all of us and we won't need to vote?

The rules of "voters should know better than to vote for a racist".
He's not calling for a law to ban racists from running for office ffs
If faux media outrage and wanting to enforce a half-decent border policy can disqualify a candidate from running, then this country is way more fucked than I thought.
Just two weeks ago was the 25th anniversary of the first Persian Gulf War. When that war began, we had 8,000 planes. Today we have about 4,000. When that war began, we had 529 ships, today we have 272. You want to know what carpet-bombing is? It's what we did in the first Persian Gulf War: 1,100 air attacks a day, saturation bombing that utterly destroyed the enemy.
From an article in January about his calls for carpet bombing.
We will utterly destroy ISIS. We will carpet bomb them into oblivion. I don't know if sand can glow in the dark, but we're going to find out
Cited from a speech he gave in December. Between that, and his call to "pound Raqqa into a parking lot", I think it's safe to say that he was in favor of a massive carpet bombing campaign. In other words, he was in favor of committing mass atrocities.

He literally cites the first Gulf War as an example in your own quote. That was a war of mass targeted strikes that totally disabled Iraq's ability to effectively wage war with comparatively few civilian casualties.
Donald Trump has been a symbol of greatness for 30+ years in the black community.

But now the dishonest media is trying to smear him as "racist".

This is the most ridiculous thing you've posted yet, and that says something. You've tried to disprove Trump's racism by treating the entire black race as a monolithic group and assuming that they're entirely represented by rappers. This is like saying that if Trump was in an ad for Church's Chicken, it would be evidence that he isn't racist because black people like fried chicken.
100% convinced you're a troll now. Took me long enough.
by treating the entire black race as a monolithic group and assuming that they're entirely represented by rappers.
No I did not. Donald Trump has always been someone that Americans aspire to be like. He's a symbol of the American dream. I just showed that it was the case even in the black community.
You don't get your named dropped so often in positive light (in this case, in rap songs) if you're truly a huge racist/bigot.
