Second Chances - Songs/Bands you didn't like at first but have grown to appreciate

I used to detest Billy Talent for a few reasons, mainly because they were new and I was mainly into '90s stuff, there were a lot of other similar bands playing music on the radio constantly, and a few really annoying people I didn't like were into them. I always kind of thought they sounded good but I just couldn't get over all of those things. Then I heard this song:

I loved it. And I realised those were some rather petty, narrow-minded reasons not to give them a chance, so I listened to their stuff again and found that I rather enjoy them.
Does anyone else listen to music now that at one point you either didn't care for, or couldn't stand?
I didn't like Grizzly Bear or Deerhunter at first but after revisiting some of their stuff I grew to really like them. I guess a highlight would be Veckatimest for Grizzly Bear and Cryptograms for Deerhunter.
I'm also glad I got back into Deerhunter because I learned of Atlas Sound from them and they're pretty great too.

tool
hated them at first, thought they were played out and boring and pretentious
then a year later or something a friend was all about them and kept trying to ease me into them and i was just "uh huh yeah ok" and kind of half-listened
then i just went "ah what the hell" and bought aenima and listened to it and i was like

i mean granted they really ARE pretentious and played-out but aenima and lateralus are just really well-rounded and enjoyable records with some creative little ditties in composition and lateralus has some very pleasant lyrical themes
Earth.
Drone Doom in general.
