My 8800 gts is now breaking so I decided to buy a new card, my budget is 170 pounds as the title says, I need advise since I have really lost track of what makes a graphics card good.
I was looking at these

The GTX 260 out of those cards is the best value for money in my opinion. I wouldn't advise getting any of the newer 2-series cards such as the 250 or 210.
The 5770 is a good buy because it's reasonably cheap, quite powerful and has dx11, that's what i'd reccomend.
Get some spelling advice first.
But then you should buy a 5770, and buy another one for CrossFireX in the next few months. 2x 5770s beat a 5850.

And fuck, do not buy a 250 or 260. What a waste.

I advise you to also tell him that a 5 series card should contain a free copy of Dirt 2, which is a great game.
Two 5770's are equalled out to be as powerful as a 5850/70(70 if overclocked) for about the same price or slightly less than an 58 series card.
