But I just finished it, and holy shit it's good. I think that's probably one of the best movies I have ever watched. Anyone can suggest something like that? I loved the whole depressive feel about it. Only thing I didn't like is those hallucinations the mom gets, the final one in her house is pretty long and annoying. So? Any suggestion? :allears:
The only person I felt sympathy for was the mother.

That film was amazing but jesus christ it depressed the fuck out of me. [sp]I mean not even anything slightly good happens to them and it wasn't even the mothers fault[/sp]

It's a really good movie, you can't blame the girl, it's an addiction, it makes you do really stupid things. When you know people who have addiction problems you can relate to this movie. I think Trainspotting (1996) is a drug story which I heard is really amazing, but I haven't seen it yet, on my to watch list. check a trailer and some reviews, you might enjoy it. This is the worst possible film to watch ever, the morning after a break up. Seriously. Don't do it.
Yeah, I understand that girl especially well since I know someone in that situation. And thanks for the suggestion too :buddy:
This also spawned the horrific monstrosity that is "Requiem for a Tower" which is used for mediocre/poor quality game videos everywhere (worked fine for The Two Towers trailer, though.) Worse, people call it "Lux Aeterna" or "Requiem for a Dream," when in reality this is the real song However, I still find The Party Remix absolutely badass. Finally, the most haunting of these songs has to be both Southern Hospitality and Winter Overture. EDIT: had to edit because first song was intermixed with Requiem for a Tower.
This movie was actually really good. It was just kind of fucked up in a way.
Such a great film! I still get chills because of the part where Jared Leto's injects the heroin in the infected hand. Disgusting shit, but I felt bad for the mom. All she wanted to do was be on television..

Television was basically her drug - she used it to escape her awful reality in the same way everyone was snorting/smoking/injecting to escape theirs.
Yeah, I loved how they would look all broken, sad, angry, whatever... And then, you see those small flashes of them preparing the drug, the injection, the iris widening... And bam, now they smile. yeah, my roommate and I saw this movie one our first nights here in college. massive mindfuck of a movie. it's funny that people think it promotes drug use when it's so anti-drug it's not even funny. also, "ASS TO ASS!"
