J R R Tolkin gave Christopher lee his blessing to play Gandalf if a movie was ever to be made, however the role was given to Ian McKellen. He still wanted some part in the films so They let him play Saruman. He is also the only cast member of Lotr to meet J RR Tolkin.

Seriously? Nicholas Cage is Francis Ford Coppola's nephew, he's part of one of the biggest families in Hollywood.

He also spent a lot of money on a large billboard advertising the film, which remained up till 2006, 3 years after the film was released.

During filming of Superman Returns, Kevin Spacey would drive around in a golf cart ("Lex's Super Buster") dragging a stuffed Superman doll behind on a rope and yell "Superman Must Die" with a megaphone.
