I need to buy new ram for my pc because my current one is shit. What I need is 800 or 1066 Mhz DDR2 8GB ram. As in 2GB per stick. Before you go all "l0lolo 8gb waste ram", I need it because I use photoshop and 3ds max a lot and run dry on ram quite often that makes all my system slow.
Most brands are the same price, you usually only pay extra for latency timings and coolers.
G.Skill is cheap 'n good I think.
Whats your budget?
Whats your budget?
200-250 dollars.
Ok,well here is some OCZ which is pretty good. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227291 Or you can wait for the Corsair Memory to be in stock. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145217
Stop doing this, nobody says it and it makes you look like a whiny kid.
I have seen quite some people who flame others for having a lot of "useless" ram.
I have seen quite some people who flame others for having a lot of "useless" ram.
People don't flame them, they suggest a lower amount of ram becuase the average gamer/computer user won't need more than 4GB. [editline]01:11PM[/editline] Any brand is fine, just go for the cheapest.

[editline]01:11PM[/editline] Any brand is fine, just go for the cheapest.
I can back up johanz. Most people make the assumption that "no one needs more than 6GBs" Which is what Photoshoppers and 3ds max people like johanz run short on. @OP: G Skillz is the best way to go for good, cheap RAM. Get two sets of this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231166 It would be $140. Which is $30 cheaper than buying the full 8GB set (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231195). Only difference is 44Mhz in RAM speed.
I have seen quite some people who flame others for having a lot of "useless" ram.
I meant the lolloollo bit.
