Cancer
what it about?
Girl meets a guy at her cancer support group.
Augustus has been in remission for a few years.
She has stage 4 thyroid cancer.
They fall in love, and the rest you have to read to find out.
It fucking made me tear up. Fucking John Green.
Haven't read it, but some friends and I played Best Day/Worst Day(from 'Looking For Alaska').
I won worst day :D
:c
Read TFIOS and LFA, both amazing books! :D
Really good books, I like them a lot.
Whatever happened to the books thread
Willem Defoe and Mike Burbiglia are in the movie!
Also, this is a great book by my favorite author.

Dunno. I originally posted this book in that thread.
I've read Looking For Alaska and that was some heavy shit. It was great. A friend was telling me about this one the other day while she was reading it, through tears. Gonna borrow it from her when she's done with it. John Green is pretty great.
John Green is just an overall awesome person. Vlog brothers is the shit, and we watch his crash course world history videos sometimes in class.

wtf are you in my college or something, our English teacher literally ordered a bunch of these books for all of us to read yesterday
I love it

Sounds like a pretty good book
also a bit funny since I met my girlfriend at a cancer support group
It's alright.
I think I would've preferred it as an original screenplay.
Its blood amazing. I was honestly expecting [sp]Hazel to die and not Augustus, from the way back cover described it[/sp]
It made me cry. a lot.
I really wish there was a books section so we could talk about books more.
Oh and this book and most of John Green's other books are really great. I really liked An Abundance of Katherines.
My friend really dislikes John Green books
I didn't really like TFIOS because Gus and Hazel didn't talk like real people and writing a book about cancer kids just kind of felt emotionally exploitative to me. Like a shortcut to tear city. I don't necessarily regret reading it but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone either.
I bought Looking for Alaska, Paper Towns and this the other day.
Only read Alaska so far. Loved it.
Easily my favourite book ever. Not so sure if Fault is my thing but I'm excited as everybody hypes it.

Big threads in GD don't appear anymore unless you change your viewing settings.
I'd rather have individual threads discussing individual books than just one book thread. A book thread doesn't promote discussion as much as it does "look what I read".
Some random girl made me read it. No regrets, great book.
pretty sure my girlfriend was talking to me about this same book the other day, huh.
isn't this the dude who does crash course?

Yeah. Part of Vlogbrothers.
I didn't really like a fault in our stars, Ive read every John Green book and my favourite is probably Paper Towns followed by Looking for Alaska.
I've read it three times, and it never failed to tear me up each time.
Can't wait for the movie to be out too :D
I should read this before English Class ruins it next semester.
Terrible terrible book by a terrible terrible author
