• Will this soundcard fit?

So I've ordered myself new pc parts, gonna build a new one. The only thing worth salvaging from my old pc was this Creative X-fi xtremegamer sound card. http://www.komplett.no/k/ki.aspx?sku=326406 I was wondering: Will it fit on my new motherboard together with two radeon 6950's? MoBo: http://www.komplett.no/k/ki.aspx?sku=633060 GPU: http://www.komplett.no/k/ki.aspx?sku=639513 Or shouldn't I bother at all, are the integrated audio chips just as good these days?
It'll fit in between the 6950's, will worsen the cooling performance of one of the 6950's though, depending on the case you can get a fan and mount it on the harddrive cage pushing air into the graphics cards which increases cooling effectiveness quite a bit.
That's what i suspected. I bought a HAF 922, and i'm planning on putting a 200mm fan on the side panel, I guess it'll be alright then?
I'd still put it on the harddrive cage pointing at the GPU's, side panel fans can be troublesome if not low profile and even if they fit everytime you take the side off you need to unplug them which is just hassle you don't want.
The HAF 922 is quite wide, and the unplug thing wont be a problem to me, cos i'm used to it Theres three 200mm fans on the case; one intake in the front and one one the side, and one exhaust on top. Theres also a 120mm on the back.
Go for it then.
I will Just wanted to make sure they would fit, i was worried that the huge ass GPUs would take up all the space thanks for the answers anyway ;)
Best option would be to get a PCI-e x1 soundcard and put it in the top slot. Not a lot of room between it and the top GPU, but works well for me and doesn't affect cooling.
Nah, I won't bother with buying a new one, I just wanted to know if i could reuse my old one
